Ford Super Sunday Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 Great day out, as most have said, great first half, second half poor once Wellens went off/Helguson came on.Oddfellows before the match, 35 mins to get served WFC fans - silent til they scored. WFC - no scoreboard/clock, but a screen displaying ads? 3-sided ground yet it looks like they're building something behind one of the stands! Away end - top atmosphere, went nuts with Dany's equaliser. Would have taken a point (like most) before the game. The screen did show the game, but cut to adverts when the ball was out of play. I watched their first goal replay on the screen to get a better look at it, dunno if they replayed our goals, I would have guessed not
dogadug Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 The Leicester fans were great - really loud
Maybes Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 The Leicester fans were great - really loud Not really. Average away support.
Fosse Boy Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 Not really. Average away support. That's what I thought. Didn't reckon it was anything special. But then again, it never was going to be when there were people sat down on the back row.
Raj Posted 21 September 2009 Posted 21 September 2009 Crap vocal effort. Nowhere near as good as MKD!!!
cecchini Posted 22 September 2009 Posted 22 September 2009 Came all the way from Luxembourg - was well worth it fantastic day out, great game, best first 45 mins I have seen in a while, suspect our lads were begining to tire in the second half and defended too deep. But the result is a fair one. Well done the lads. Raj wasn't so bad in the car either!
Sooper Steve's shin Posted 22 September 2009 Posted 22 September 2009 Ridiculous how Neilson's being slated on this board yet all three goals came from their number 33 wide on their right (our left). They all came from deep, so you can't really criticise Berner - probably the narrow diamond formation worked against us.

By the time the goals went in we were trying to play a fairly defensive flat 4 across midfield, so in effect we had Gallagher, a center forward attempting to play defensive left midfield. A cock up of monumental stature.
flanimal Posted 22 September 2009 Posted 22 September 2009 I'm not sure about Gallagher playing in midfield. It feels like Nigel Pearson is keen to play him anywhere just because he cost a fair bit of cash - which is what you'd expect, but everytime we've played him on the wing, the team looked off-balance. Nigel Pearson doesn't mind dropping players who are not doing it, so why can't he simply try Gallagher upfront with Fryatt more? Right now, the team generally feels off balance.
Thracian Posted 22 September 2009 Posted 22 September 2009 Crap vocal effort.Nowhere near as good as MKD!!! Not in the Oddfellows it wasn't. Big Alex and friends led us to any number of mighty crescendos!
