When I first saw Gally, I said that he is too intelligent for the players around him. He has a proper football brain, it's a shame no-one else around him is on the same planet as him.

Lack of impact is the major thing. I don't disagree that he's got quality on the ball but when have we seen it put to good use on a consistent basis? Apart from a cameo display against Crystal Palace, Gallagher has made very little impact in changing a game. Yes Pearson must take some of the blame for not giving him a run in the team in his preferred position, but ultimately the responsibility for his own performances should lie with him. You would say he's got more technique than a Howard or a Waghorn but most would have Gallagher 3rd in that pecking order because he's not used his skill to any effect really.

He's not been a disaster by any means, but he's been very very mediocre which is all the more disappointing for me because I was delighted when signed for us.

This touches on the point I was making yesterday. It's through no fault of his own that he's had little impact as he's being played out of position and as you say he's fourth/fifth in the pecking order up front so what was the point in signing him? Especially that it's now evident that we badly need the money to strengthen other areas of the team. His talent is clearly being wasted at Leicester at this present time.

I've been a huge fan of Pearson in the transfer market but with the price tag being taken into consideration it's looking like it will turn out to be his biggest flop to date.

Thing is Mickey, City aren't the first club to find out that they're not on his planet. A bit like a player who repeatedly gets sent off and booked - the referees can't all be wrong!!

I thought yesterday he should have come on at the start of the second half on the right wing for Wellens, as he eventually did. When you're being shut down you need players with skill to take them on - if the closing down fails the team fall out of shape and danger is created.

Anyone notice we try to match teams strength for strength rather than targeting their weaknesses? Ispwich come with four centre-backs along the back line and we play hoof-ball, we go to an attacking, flowing team like QPR and play some of our best football of the season. Seems a little odd but it also seems to be working.

because when i saw him play at the start of the season.....he couldn't cross.

So what about the other wingers we have who can't seem to put the ball over the first man either?

n'guessans cross to fryatt against qpr was quality.

and i've already said oakley should be dropped.

adams struggles to get the ball off the ground let alone onto the first defenders head.

When Gallagher first came in I thought he was quality, but recently he's looking like a right waste of money.

It's probably just his lack of first team action why his form has dipped but with him, Kermorgant, Nielson, N'Guessen and McGivern not looking up to scratch, it's no wonder that Milan is hardly throwing money NP's way.

it didn't help that most of the corners were taken by right footed people from the right side (or however you want to look at it) they were going away from goal

Whether you are right or left footed you should still be able to get the ball off of the floor. I take corners from both sides for my team and i manage to get the ball in. Like you said N'Guessan's cross for Fryatt against QPR was good but thats 1 cross. We haven't got anyone who can consistently deliver a ball with real quality.

Yeah. I observed that as well. Alex Bruce is dog shite and he was playing RB. Dyer and Fryatt should have received much more balls and allow them to run at him. We all know McAuley isn't the quickest, but yet we played to his strength which is in the air.

Keane eventually put Liam Rosenior on for Alex Bruce, who is quicker and more mobile, but we should have targeted their weakness much earlier, which are their back four with pace, cos they are all slow as snails.

He did that once we made the subs and started playing football as I remember?

we dont seem to be able to beat the first man from a corner or free kick it is really poor if you watched a sunday league game you would see better deliveries from corners or free kicks going back to gallegher i think he is a gifted footballer but will flatter to decive while he is at city he will do nothing and then drift to another club and do nothing and so on and so on
