FilboFox Posted 15 November 2009 Author Posted 15 November 2009 I think its safe to say filbo is fucked one way or the other this week ... me or you. Oh no... I'm turning into Dannii! Losing acts and choosing bad songs...
Uncle Albert Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Another great song choice by myself, I would like to say my 'mentor' has contributed something in my run in this competition.

Fosse Boy Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 I was doing pretty well this week until maddog endorsed my choice of song. No one else voted for it after that.
AjcW Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Ah well.... My other choice this week was Jackson 5 ft Lil Wayne: I want you back. Was not deemed Motown enough. As oposed to Boyz II Men of course Good luck sparky...
lildave3 Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Ah well.... My other choice this week was Jackson 5 ft Lil Wayne: I want you back. Was not deemed Motown enough. As oposed to Boyz II Men of course It's also a load of poop. Butchers 2 fantastic songs. As if you tried to enter it for a Motown week
Fosse Boy Posted 15 November 2009 Posted 15 November 2009 Ah well.... My other choice this week was Jackson 5 ft Lil Wayne: I want you back. Was not deemed Motown enough. As oposed to Boyz II Men of course Good luck sparky... It was released on the Motown label, whereas your choice that got rejected wasn't. Therefore it's more Motown. Oh, cheers to all y'all who voted for Superstition by the way.
FilboFox Posted 16 November 2009 Author Posted 16 November 2009 I feel terrible about AjcW going out... it was my suggestion that made him lose out in the end. Obviously I made the wrong choice and have to be held accountable for it... even if he should never have gone out with such a song!
Fox You Forest Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 I feel terrible about AjcW going out... it was my suggestion that made him lose out in the end. Obviously I made the wrong choice and have to be held accountable for it... even if he should never have gone out with such a song! Not for the first time either, you suggested Thriller after maddog had milked it for all it was worth. Shocking mentor. I wish I was in your group I'd have had a field day with you.
Uncle Albert Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 Was not deemed Motown enough. As oposed to Boyz II Men of course Quit your moaning jebend. Boyz II Men was the last 'Motown' song to reach number one in the UK - so really I used this to appeal to the younger members of the forum as they wouldnt of been around in the "Motown" days. Uncle Aquilani is through.

I wish I was in your group I'd have had a field day with you. Well in that situation it was just me picking a song that was left as peterborofox couldn't decide... but come off it, Thriller should have gone through and if people were stupid enough to be swayed by what maddog says then God help us all. You think you'd have a field day eh? Hmm... I'm sure. All that said though, it was my fault that both of my acts have gone because of my song choices... though neither were bad songs, some just seem to be getting votes from thin air at the moment so others don't stand a chance.
maddog Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 I was doing pretty well this week until maddog endorsed my choice of song. No one else voted for it after that. I voted for your song you ungrateful arse
Fosse Boy Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 I voted for your song you ungrateful arse Aye, but you were the last to do so. No one else did after you praised its merits...
BoneDog Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 How come mentors are choosing songs for the entrants? I thought you had to choose your own song
Fox You Forest Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 How come mentors are choosing songs for the entrants? I thought you had to choose your own song I wouldn't take much notice of the rules they change weekly.
FilboFox Posted 16 November 2009 Author Posted 16 November 2009 How come mentors are choosing songs for the entrants? I thought you had to choose your own song You do... but if the contestant asks for help then mentors give it. If they ask for song suggestions then we give them and then the final decision is made by the contestant. However, if the contestant fails to submit a song by Saturday at 00:00 hrs, then the mentor picks a song for the contestant.
Uncle Albert Posted 16 November 2009 Posted 16 November 2009 Yeah you have to make sure you meet the deadlines.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 18 November 2009 Posted 18 November 2009 Shocking that I'm struggling on nineties week. Should be in my element.
