Reserves at the Walkers

It seems the club can't be bothered to publicise the reserves match at the Walkers on Wednesday, it's in the Totesport.com cup against Tranmere.

That's so they can say as no one is supporting it we'll play behind closed doors in future.

Was announced at least twice over the PA on Saturday

To be fair it was announced at the Walkers as everyone streamed out on Saturday but most won't have been listening.

PS. I was listening SD but most won't have been!

I'm glad they reduced the price to £3 for adults, should (hopefully) get a few more in.

They made a financial loss for the last game against Sheff Utd, so they are quite right to can it if it's crap.

I'll be at this one though, even if it was still priced at £5. I've nowt better to do on a Wednesday night, and £3 for a football match is never bad.

I might have misheard the pricing  , best to check with the club since there is nothing on the OS to confirm this

Well as I've got a hearing impediment that's not a lot of help to me is it. Besides how difficult would it be to put it more clearly on their website, to put it in one of those regular news email they send out or heaven forbid get the Mercury, their Official Media Partners to mention it, preferable before Wednesday morning.

Still strikes me as piss poor business practice since they surely must want as many as possible turning up to actually make the event viable.

Not difficult at all

But at £3/£1 per head I don't think it'll form a large part of Milan's retirement pot. I'm surprised that you expected such competence from the marketing department

I wasn't thinking of his retirement pot I was thinking of them being able to break even so they continue to play some reserve games.

I never expect anything from LCFC, not from the playing side, not from the admin side and least of all from the Marketing Department with respect to informing the fans - I am their number one cynical fan.

Bump

Leicester City Reserves take on Tranmere Rovers Reserves at the Walkers Stadium this evening, kick-off at 7pm.

City's second string will be looking to maintain their perfect start to the season, having scored an impressive 7 goals in their first 2 games, beating Sheffield United 4-1 and Derby County 3-1.

Gerry Taggart's side to take on Rovers in the totesport.com cup will likely see a mixture of youth and experience for the match, with tickets available from the stadium on the day of the game, priced at just £3 for adults, free for under-16's accompanied by a paying adult and just £1 for 14-15 year olds who attend without an adult.

Come on then....

Someone who went must be able to summarise what happened.

After yesterday's drive to Middlesbrough and back plus fixing a drive to Birmingham into my work on the market today I was just too flaked out to be bothered myself.

I get to see most of the team in the Academy league matches and I'm not really sure what purpose reserves games will serve Gradel except to emphasise to him how far he seems to have slipped down the pecking order for whatever reason.
