Lets all be honest here.

We all want Leicester to be successful and to do that we need to field our best team. If that team includes Stephen Clemence (when fit) why would anyone say that they don't want him in the team.

I'm not one for playing younger players so they can learn their trade. Young players have to develop, that's what a reserve team and being loaned to smaller clubs is for. When the time is right the batton is passed to them for the experienced pros. If King drops down the pecking order so Clem can play, then King doesn't deserve to be playing. People can bang on about how King was a central figure last season and I agree but we've up a level, what's happened has happened and to cut to he chase, if Clem is fit and good enough to command a first team slot, then one of the other centre mids will have to be sacrificed, quite rightly for him to play.

Totally agree.

The good of the team, not individuals, should always come first.

I don't know what King needs to show in training, given that he's always a diligent trainer and given the results of all games he's been involved in since Pearson's arrival, including this season.

I'd doubt that King will ever look a spectacular flash dan on the pitch but we've sure missed him when he's not been there with great gaps developing in the centre of our defence or elsewhere behind our midfield.

As for "giving the ball away" I would love to present statistics to you relating to all our players and show exactly where King comes in terms of "giving the ball away".

Please do Thrac, present those stats, as per ratio to playing time I'm willing to bet he's as bigger offender as most. I would be happy if he was "steady" and not "flash Dan" but he's been a long way from either.

As for 'the results of the games he's played in' - he's played the part of an impact player with not much impact. If he's so brilliant, why is he constantly on the bench or subbed? Mr. Wellens does not have this problem - and he really is far more of a lynch pin!

I appreciate he plays a role and he's not bad at it, but the notion that he is some integral lynch pin on his current form is just not true from what I have seen. His passing going forward has been awful.

This is not to say I think King is awful or poor by any means, he's just not been cutting it this season so far - maybe it's confidence or the step up or another reason, but right now he's not starting every week because he's unlucky or misfortunate ..... he's just not playing well enough.

They do say love is blind and on this occasion mate, your 'Guide Dog' is waiting.

Pearson and his coaching staff will pick the team that they think is best suited to win the game! That's with or without Andy King playing, too.

Pearson always states that it's a long season and everyone will play their part, and all the players know that. King was one of our top 3 performers from last season, but only one of them has continued to bring some of that into this season and that's Fryatt. That's why Steve was dropped, and that's why King hasn't started as many games as he would've liked.

There are other players in the squad that are proving more than capable.

I agree with bERT, King is a key member of the squad and is in competition with others for his place, and unfortuntely for him, his underperformances has left him occupying the bench more!!
