Guest Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 I don't know if anyone is interested, but LCFC and the County Council are working on an exhibition of memorabilia for next year. See also the facebook details. Don't know if any of the posters in this thread might think it worthwhile?
Ford Super Sunday Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 Sounds a good thing to do, and I really hope it gets some good coverage too, because I am sure out there, somewhere, there is some stuff of absolute gold which would be perfect for it.
jonthefox Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 im going. we need some kind of museum at the walkers i reckon.
davieG Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 Not the most convenient of locations - hopefully they'll put it on elsewhere.

davieG Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 The workshop or the exhibition? Aren't they both at Snibstons?
Guest Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 Aren't they both at Snibstons? Yes, but seeing as the workshop is next weekend, it's not likely that the venue is going to change. And seeing as everyone drives these days, neither are going to inconvenient.

Surely inconvenient if you've got to drive to get to see it, a 20 mile round trip at least and even more so if you have to get 2 buses. Why not hold it at the Walkers it's not as if they haven't got the room? I'm confused

Dan Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 Is this to celebrate finding the last piece of memorabilia that Martin Allen tore down?
lildave3 Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 Not the most convenient of locations - hopefully they'll put it on elsewhere. What's wrong with Snibby!
davieG Posted 25 October 2009 Posted 25 October 2009 What's wrong with Snibby! Nowt, just not very convenient for a Leicester City FC thingy!
C.J Posted 4 November 2009 Posted 4 November 2009 Did anybody else go to this? I went down to have a look, was very interesting. Thought more people would go, but seing as there wernt many there, the bloke gave us some of the pieces to have a look at (the old ball fryatt was pictured with in the last programme for example, boots, the first ever season ticket etc and a bottle of ind coope beer brewed to celebrate promotion in 1982/3)! Theres a talk on the 15th of dec for the 'older farts' to tell stories, or for the younger ones to just go and listen. Then theres a exhibition that runs from Jan-March (all at Snibby) showing the pieces. The bloke even said me and my mate could have a invite for the private launch night the nigh before (result)!
melrose Posted 4 November 2009 Posted 4 November 2009 Not the most convenient of locations - hopefully they'll put it on elsewhere. Filbo & the Walkers hasn't exactly been on our doorstep all these years so it's a change to see the county getting a look in!
MuseumMan Posted 6 November 2009 Posted 6 November 2009 We hope Snibston is just going to be the start - The club has a huge following in the county as well as the city! We'd love to see the exhibition all around the county and city too. We'll try and keep you up to date - and if you have a suggestion for a venue, we'd be happy to hear it. If you want to know more about the exhibition, email us on [email protected] Cheers :-) Rob
Daggers Posted 6 November 2009 Posted 6 November 2009 if you have a suggestion for a venue, we'd be happy to hear it. The Pump and Tap.
