Fox You Forest Posted 17 December 2009 Posted 17 December 2009 Why doesn't someone tell Broad to pitch the fucker up? He's bowling like a fourteen year old kid who's just realised he's a bit pacy. He's always the same though, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't, makes you wonder what old Ottis actually does. I reckon he's playing solitaire on that laptop instead of monitoring deliveries. Can we start again and bat first.
Fox You Forest Posted 17 December 2009 Posted 17 December 2009 Draws looking likely already, unless the pitch or someone does something special.
Fosse Boy Posted 17 December 2009 Posted 17 December 2009 Strauss looking in control. How've we been playing? Haven't seen any of it today...
Fox You Forest Posted 17 December 2009 Posted 17 December 2009 Steady, as well as can be expected on a flat pitch I suppose.
leicesterfox86 Posted 17 December 2009 Posted 17 December 2009 Steady, as well as can be expected on a flat pitch I suppose. Yep, we need to make sure we match their total though. Batting last isn't going to be too much fun I don't think. Hence why SA took so long out of the game with their first innings.
Fox You Forest Posted 18 December 2009 Posted 18 December 2009 "He wouldn't spin one on a corrugated roof" Not looking good atm.
davieG Posted 18 December 2009 Posted 18 December 2009 It's embarrassing when your tail-enders contain the highest run getter

Fox You Forest Posted 18 December 2009 Posted 18 December 2009 Swann should be Bell's batting buddy he could teach one or two things.
Corky Posted 18 December 2009 Posted 18 December 2009 Wow, this game is open. Superb batting from Swann and Anderson (what a shot for his six :w00t:), and the early wicket was a massive boost.
Corky Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 England 11-1 at the close, needing 364 to win. Strauss got a good ball from Morkel. Still think we'll get a draw but need to have a strong morning.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Could be an epic last session tomorrow, possibly reminiscent of the Ashes test in Cardiff earlier this year.
Corky Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Could be an epic last session tomorrow, possibly reminiscent of the Ashes test in Cardiff earlier this year. It should be interesting, let's hope Pietersen, Collingwood, Bell are on form this time around.

Still think we'll get a draw but need to have a strong morning. I've not been watching much of the first test but judging by the current score it's still achievable but not likely. I see S.A declared. I reckon we will lose or draw can't see us winning to be honest.
Fox You Forest Posted 19 December 2009 Posted 19 December 2009 Not a cat in hells chance of winning I'd say. The draw is most likely but we're more than capable of losing it.
dandannieldanok Posted 20 December 2009 Posted 20 December 2009 Could be an epic last session tomorrow, possibly reminiscent of the Ashes test in Cardiff earlier this year. One over to go, one wicket to go, even I didn't think it would be this epic !
Corky Posted 20 December 2009 Posted 20 December 2009 Relieved that we managed to get a draw. Well played Collingwood, Pietersen, Trott and Onions, and de Wet bowled very well too.
Edmund Posted 20 December 2009 Author Posted 20 December 2009 One over to go, one wicket to go, even I didn't think it would be this epic ! Sounds like I missed a great finish. Will try and catch this later.
purpleronnie Posted 20 December 2009 Posted 20 December 2009 Watched the last 20 or so overs, nail biting stuff.
Corky Posted 20 December 2009 Posted 20 December 2009 Sounds like I missed a great finish. Will try and catch this later. The last over was pretty comfortable for Onions really.
purpleronnie Posted 20 December 2009 Posted 20 December 2009 The last over was pretty comfortable for Onions really. Yep but the previous 7 weren't as easy, I would have put a spinner for the last over, but glad they didn't.
Fosse Boy Posted 24 December 2009 Posted 24 December 2009 My Saffa mate's telling me he was bowling to them in a net sesh this morning. He got rid of Bell, Strauss and KP! Apparently Collingwood looked a million dollars though.
