Celebrate or not?

  1. 1. England win a penalty last minute of the 2010 World Cup, Gerrard dives for it, Lampard slots it in, we win, do you celebrate like a madhead. Yes or no?

Well the last time we won a World cup it wasn't exactly the 'honest' way was it?

Why? Nobody dived or handled the ball.

The ball hit the crossbar and bounced down and the ref decided to give it. I can't see how that's cheating.

No one has ever been able to prove whether the ball crossed the line or not anyway.

I would of course celebrate like mad, but after the fact, when the world's scorn pored upon us like never before, and FIFA banned Gerrard for life, England were suspended from international competition, and English clubs from Europe - then, then I might be alittle less happy. Let's not forget folks - we are not France. No body likes us. No one.

That is actually pretty funny.. Mainly because it's true and would probably happen. It'd be worth it though eh for England to win the WC in everybody's lifetime..?

Only if we're not one of the clubs that are in Europe during that ban :P

And if we are in Europe (miraculously) at the time of said cheating and WC winning, is your answer different knowing that is the inevitable punishment..? :)

matter of judgement though isn't it. the referee had to make a snap desision. besides referees get things wrong on a regular basis (maradona, henry, that plymouth player with the top draw save on sat etc.).
