I would jump up and down like a Springer Spaniel on speed, whip off my shirt, slide on my knees in the middle of the pub and jump in the nearest water fountain to celebrate. Whether we win the World Cup by playing someone off the park or by a dicky pen, the record books would still read the same.

I would of course celebrate like mad, but after the fact, when the world's scorn pored upon us like never before, and FIFA banned Gerrard for life, England were suspended from international competition, and English clubs from Europe - then, then I might be alittle less happy. Well the last time we won a World cup it wasn't exactly the 'honest' way was it?

I think if that scenario did occur i'd do a Jean-christophe Novelli and ditch my country in disgust and go and support Ireland
