Daggers Posted 20 November 2009 Posted 20 November 2009 From the Merc Developers are planning to demolish a well-known football fans' internet forum to build yet more student accommodation.Foxestalk, which has played host to such genius threads including 'Mandaric, is he coming?', 'Hands up who thinks Oasis are shite', 'What is your favourite type of crisp?' and 217 'Should we sack the manager?' polls, will be turned into 11 student flats if the developers get their way. Under the proposals, the Transfer Rumours area would be retained and turned into a feature in the residents' lounge. But the rest of the forum – including the 'What are you listening to now/' thread – would become flats featuring 23 bedrooms, a statue of Noel Gallagher and an eye-catching fountain of piss. Councillor Colin Knobhead told the Leicester Mercury: "We do understand the historical importance of the forum, and that it is well-loved within the local football-loving community, but we believe that the needs of the City will be best served by getting even more workshy, tax-dodgers to move here and whine about how tough it is to produce one essay every three months." An application has now been submitted to Leicester City Council, although planning officials said they had not got enough information to advertise the notice yet. Once the application is publicised, people will have three weeks to make objections. I believe there are now more students in Leicester than raindrops in Cumbria.

Kilworthfox Posted 23 November 2009 Posted 23 November 2009 I rarely come on here now, FT has been overwhelmed & is full of cretins. This has been coupled with me not caring as much about LCFC as I did, the past seasons of failure have taken their toll.

Edgar Davids chose Red Bull over us. And Pearson's a legend. . Change back to your old ways and care more about LCFC
