The sort of people that vote on this are the armchair public, the sort of people that will just think Haye's a twat and won't really care about boxing. Calzaghe didn't win it purely because he's good at what he does, he won it because the joe public think he's likeable. That and the people he beat prior to his nominations, while they may have been over the hill and not twelve feet tall, were household names.
