Edmund Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 Anyone remember this signing by Martin O'neil. I can remember being extremely excited based on the fact he came from Boca. http://www.rte.ie/sport/soccer/2000/0304/soccer5.html Leicester manager Martin O'Neill has added to his attack by signing Boca Juniors player Fernando Pasquinelli on loan until the end of the season. The 20-year-old Argentinian has earned the chance to stake a claim for a permanent switch to the Foxes, after he impressed during a trial spell earlier in the season. Pasquinelli will come into contention for a place once he obtains international clearance. O'Neill now has in-demand Emile Heskey, Tony Cottee, Stan Collymore, Darren Eadie plus Pasquinelli in his squad competing for places up front.
MC Prussian Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 That one passed by under the radar completely. We once had an Argentinian striker? He had a brief spell in England with Leicester City., but failed to make a league appearance for the time What's he like on FM 2010?
S1DDO Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernando_Pasquinelli
Ford Super Sunday Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 I always remembered him. He was in the squad list in my first Ever Rothmans Football Yearbook I got when I was 10. Legend, just because he was Argie and played for Boca
Zingari Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 he's scored 8 goals in 7 games this year , get him back !!!
Head Honcho Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fernando_Pasquinelli Can we try and re-sign him? He must have another 10 years in him surely. He's only played 44 first class games in 10 years
Jaspa Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 His career seems to have flopped really. But at his latest team he has 8 goals from 7 games. Dont remember him at all here though
CosbehFox Posted 11 December 2009 Posted 11 December 2009 I remember him playing in the ressies with another couple of lads from Boca.
Edmund Posted 11 December 2009 Author Posted 11 December 2009 I remember him playing in the ressies with another couple of lads from Boca. Yeah this is what I thought. I'm sure we had a few Argentineans on loan/trial but for one reason or the other they didn't do enough to impress.
