BoneDog Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Here we go! Whitlocks stats are unreal. Pissin on everyone for 140's and 180's and matching Taylor for checkout averages. Barney Webster is gonna be good too. Winner of that gets £60,000 for 3rd place and loser £40,000 I think.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Oh dear... is it even worth watching the rest of this final? EDIT: It seems to be worth it at the moment!
BoneDog Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 If Whitlock had took his chance in the 1st leg of set 4 it could of been 3-1 now!
BoneDog Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Last set was tense! Whitlock's played better than the score suggests. He had a dart for the 6th set to make it 3-3 but missed it. Taylor has done some massive outshots. Magnificent stuff. Looks like this could be the last set though
BoneDog Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Great finish by The Power. Shame for Whitlock I wanted him to win but hats off to Taylor, he's pure class.
lavrentis Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Great finish by The Power.Shame for Whitlock I wanted him to win but hats off to Taylor, he's pure class. 15 Times champion of the world. Class.
martyn Posted 3 January 2010 Posted 3 January 2010 Taylor the best sportsman in the world for my view. Whitlock played great, wasn't fazed at all and had Taylor rattled at times, 7-3 probably wasn't a fair reflection. Hopefully he'll get a wildcard into the Premier League after that, would definitely be more deserving than some of the other contenders.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Spewing was hoping Australia would have another world champion to idolise.
BoneDog Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Spewing was hoping Australia would have another world champion to idolise. Whitlock'll be champ sooner or later if he keeps up this form. He's gonna be massive! He was class non-stop in this tournament.
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Whitlock'll be champ sooner or later if he keeps up this form. He's gonna be massive! He was class non-stop in this tournament. Only watched the semi and final he was good in both, missed a few easy ones in the final which was frustrating. Needs to lose that awful pony tail tho.
dandannieldanok Posted 4 January 2010 Posted 4 January 2010 Whitlock'll be champ sooner or later if he keeps up this form. He's gonna be massive! He was class non-stop in this tournament. While Taylor's around it's unlikely anyone else will become world champ in the PDC, never mind Whitlock.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Stephen Bunting vs Tony O'Shea is a cracking match at the moment.
BoneDog Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Stephen Bunting vs Tony O'Shea is a cracking match at the moment. Where do you watch it when it's not on BBC? I was trying to find it today but the stream thing on BBC site wouldn't work earlier.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Where do you watch it when it's not on BBC? I was trying to find it today but the stream thing on BBC site wouldn't work earlier. BBC Interactive! Channel 301 on Freeview or PRESS RED on satellite (But you already knew that!)
StanSP Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 I just saw on BBC a snippet of Anthony Fleet's shaky performance. Why was he so nervous ?
dandannieldanok Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 I just saw on BBC a snippet of Anthony Fleet's shaky performance. Why was he so nervous ? Because the lakeside is the home of darts, its the equivalent (on a smaller scale obviously but nevertheless) of a football player playing at Wembley for the first time. And he was playing Martin Adams, the most experienced Lakeside campaigner in history.
Ford Super Sunday Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 I've just googled it and seen it on Youtube, via a very poor picture quality. You're right, he was frigging terrible. Felt sorry for him. That said, I'm sure Phil Taylor will be shaking in his boots at Martin Adams 26 darter in the said leg

In front of a huge crowd too.
dandannieldanok Posted 5 January 2010 Posted 5 January 2010 Wagner-Woods match a classic atm. That match is why I love Lakeside.
BoneDog Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 BBC Interactive! Channel 301 on Freeview or PRESS RED on satellite (But you already knew that!) Cheers, I didn't know I could press red unless the red dot things in the corner! 301 on my tele is Sky Movies Premiere I just saw on BBC a snippet of Anthony Fleet's shaky performance. Why was he so nervous ? I felt sorry for him but it was quite funny when he dropped his dart a few times trying to catch it and it kept bouncing away! And I laughed whenhe hit double 1 going for treble 20. He must of been shitting cos he's quite a good player normally I think. Think they said him and his partner are world pairs champions Wagner-Woods match a classic atm. That match is why I love Lakeside. Aye good match that was. That Chisnall lad looks like he's gonna be a very good player. Just watched the classic highlights from Jocky Wilson and Bristow in 89. Love Jocky! Bristow v Wilson Paul Lims 9 darter is on there aswell. Great stuff
dandannieldanok Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 Aye good match that was. That Chisnall lad looks like he's gonna be a very good player. Yeah Chisnall was averaging about 105 for the first three sets, which would be competitive with Phil Taylor. I think he's playing Hankey in the quarters which should be a cracker.
Sparky Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 Watched Hankey agaist a dutch fella last night which was a decent match , Hankey looked in good form.
StanSP Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 What's Jelle Van Klaasen doing these days? I remember him winning this comp (?) a few years ago and then haven't heard much since.
dandannieldanok Posted 6 January 2010 Posted 6 January 2010 Watched Hankey agaist a dutch fella last night which was a decent match , Hankey looked in good form. Yeah Hankey's looking pretty decent, as I say him vs Chisnall should be high quality. What's Jelle Van Klaasen doing these days?I remember him winning this comp (?) a few years ago and then haven't heard much since. Moved to the PDC and won sod all. One-hit wonder.
