Egypt do look shit hot. Nigeria looked very mediocre. No service for the frontmen.

Like someone else mentioned they are a good team individually but struggle to play well as a team for whatever reason.

Gutted Nigeria didn't beat Israel

They played Egypt or was it supposed to be some sort of political slur?

Phew, for a minute I was thinking you thought that Israel was in Africa. :sweating:

lol No, Geography is one of my strong points.

Israel will be in Africa soon. Their empire will stretch from Nile to Euphrates, that is what the flag is all about.

(I'll shut up cos this is a football thread) :D

Even without Aboutreika in the squad, once Egypt got their act together they looked really impressive as per, actually found myself proper backing them.

Fathi, Hassan, and Motaeb all looked quality, bit disappointed with Zidan knowing what he can produce, but he'll come good, he's too talented not to.

This tournament never fails to produce a shedload of exciting games.

I've given up watching the African cup of nations after who ever Togo were playing the other day, had 456 shots and only hit the target 3 times.

Sorry

Yeah, foot injury.

He's quality.

Shame he's injured, him and Zidan definitely stood out during the confederations cup, they were devastating for a period against Brazil.

Pretty disappointed this competition isn't on BBC3 or something. <_< :(
