LCFC-ARAB Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 It's starting on Sunday, I can't be arsed to write loads of stuff about it so here's some links.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/africa/default.stm http://www.cafonline.com/competition/afric...ons-angola_2010 All the games are live on Eurosport so England will get a chance to see Algeria playing in a tournament and watch out for Ziani, he's quality! Game of the group stages to watch out for will be Ghana v Ivory Coast on the 15th of January Drogba v Essien! 1 2 3 VIVA L'ALGERIE!!
LCFC-ARAB Posted 8 January 2010 Author Posted 8 January 2010 No BBC Coverage??? they'll be showing the semi's and final

leicesterfox86 Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Who we backing for to win it? Personally I always enjoy the African Nations (although is annoying there isn't much TV coverage), but as much as the entertaining football has me entertained, its best to have something else riding on it!! So, should I follow this football bloggers advice on the African Cup of Nations and back outsiders Mali?! I suppose if Kanoute is on form they have a chance, but for me, any team with Didier Drogba leading their line has to be the favourites. So Ivory Coast for me. Might even stick some money on Drogba being leading goalscorer.
Manwell Pablo Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 not to bothred having looked at fixtures, would miss most of them due to work and other commitments anyway. Sure I'll catch some of it.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Ivory Coast or Egypt will win it, probably.
Samilktray Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Angola is where it's at. Ghana are a good shout to win it surely?
Edmund Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 The old school Super Eagles for me; Good man They have a brilliant team on paper, but for whatever reason they can't play well together. They only just scrapped it on the last day to the world cup.
lildave3 Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Are you not listening? Cameroon have won it already.
Finnegan Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Sierra Leone should have been in there on merit of kit alone. They'd have my support.
StanSP Posted 8 January 2010 Posted 8 January 2010 Apparently the Togo team bus has been shot at. Adebayor is on it. 2 players, assistant manager and I think their manager have all been shot apparently. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/africa/8449319.stm
