lildave3 Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 OSAs an aside why do they need to call it Roy Keene's Ipswich Town? Are we supposed to be impressed and want to go just because he's the manager - I know stop fooking moaning, well I can't because this celebritising everything pisses me off. They always do that, it's silly. I was browsing another forum a while back and people were busy talking about 'RKI', took me a little time to figure out what they were on about
Brainy Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 Fox92 will be delighted about this, he won't have to go now! your obsession with him is stupid, give it a rest.
StanSP Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 your obsession with him is stupid, give it a rest. You on the duplicate accounts thing too?
FantasticMrFuchs Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 fooking disgusting!!! They think i pay £330 for a season ticket...for sky to move it from today...for sky to show it anyway the next day...then for the cheeky money grabbing ****ers to ask me to go clear snow well how about you fook RIGHT OFF!!!!! Should use the same mind set as 90% on here and save my fooking money and be an armchair fan as lets face it there the ones who come off better

It was a decision made by City and Leicester Tigers.

davieG Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 It got moved so the Tigers game could be telivised or so i heard! Money talks... Leicester City council will not allow us to play on the same day never mind at the same time. The fact that tigers were on Sky is purely coincidental as it was our turn to move as they moved their game on Boxing Day. And what has clearing the snow got to do with anything, if we'd have played today ot wouldstill want moving. Believe it or not some people will love the chance to get down there clearing the snow, if anything it's a surprise to me they don't use volunteer fans more often for other things.
Floating Fox Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 Absolutely banging news. Gonna be wearing my city shirt down the pub. Plenty of banter from pasty eaters too.

FantasticMrFuchs Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 A lot of that doesn't make sense... What doesnt? I pay alot of money every year to watch city at home Sky choose to show it to the tight fisted ****ers who rarely go to a game The game is "deffo on" although we might need your help to clear the snow so we can 100% make sure we keep the cash and keep the armchair fans happy Ild rather it be called off and go on a Tues night It was an over reacation yes,but im sick of the fans coming second best to the corperate side of things. most of my friends/family have been offered birthday price tickets for a tenner with the exception of the "platinum" games. Its not like we see any decent signings, reduced prices...or even a real Sale at the mega store is it?
Fox You Forest Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 How many pairs of socks is everyone wearing? I'm going for 3 or 4.

The call for fans to help came before it was scheduled to Sky, it being on Sky this time has changed nothing. NP is desperate for this game to be played as we're already behind most teams, if you feel you can't support that it's a shame. Fair do's with your anger for Sky but you've picked the wrong target this time to vent your spleen. Calm down go to the match and enjoy it. Games played under floodlights in the depth of a freezing cold, snowbound winter are much more enjoyable than watching it on the box.

You'll still be at the game regardless of whether it's on TV or not though, so what's the problem? If people want to sit at home and watch it on TV let them, it doesn't compare to watching it in the flesh so why let it worry you? I'll still make it barring a massive blizzard in southern Leicestershire overnight. The fact it's on TV actually seems to be a godsend for people who would be going to the game but can't because of the weather. I'm about as anti Sky as you can get but when all's said and done, televising this match hasn't really affected anything (k/o time, the day the game's played etc.) so I'm not really that bothered. Oh, and you're preaching to the converted about the whole fans/coroporate thing over here.
haraven Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 Get your asses down to Walkers and support the team. Have a pint to warm you on beforehand. Vålerenga just got this aired game to my attention, and we're meeting up in a downtown Oslo pub - having to resist -15 celcius on our hazardous way in the subway system to get inside a warm comfy pub and enjoy a beer, while having the pleasure to watch Leicester City tractor Ipswich to the ground.

Agreed might of been the stressfull 2 hours in asda prior to hearing this.
Floating Fox Posted 9 January 2010 Posted 9 January 2010 Not pleased about you missing out on Continental SK1 Mk.II tomorrow... <_< Mate I would LOVE to be there. It was epic last week. I am stuck down here though. 300 bloody miles away What doesnt? I agree 100% that fans should come above armchair fans/corporate but it's not like they've moved the fixture date or time for this is it? This is a great move. I alwasy wondered why the didnt put games on TV when theres nothing else on..

Its not like we see any decent signings, reduced prices...or even a real Sale at the mega store is it? Jog on.... If you want to pay for my travel expenses to get to Leicester from London every week, be my guest. Fact is, some of us don't choose where we have to live for work, so why should I be called a 'tight fisted ****er' on the basis that I'd be shelling out close to 100 quid extra to go to the game, EVERY WEEK. I'd rather not be called an armchair fan either... Oh and why should the fact you pay a season ticket, result in us seeing 'decent signings'? Don't think your season ticket price is gonna cover a new player....
