Important bit:

City's run of games until the end of next month includes a trip to either Bristol City or Cardiff in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

The two clubs meet again in a third-round replay at the new Cardiff Stadium on Tuesday and the winners will meet Leicester in the fourth round at the end of next week.

If Bristol win, City will go there on Friday, January 23, for an evening kick-off at a time to be confirmed.

If it is Cardiff, the match will take place the following day, although the weather could still further disrupt the programme.

Leicester City are currently awaiting the result of Tuesday night's game between Cardiff City and Bristol City, to determine who they will play in the 4th round of the FA cup sponsored by E.ON. The result of the game will also determine the date of the 4th round fixture.

If Cardiff City win, the game will be played on the Saturday 23rd January, kicking off at 3.00pm.

If Bristol City are the opponents, the game will be played on Friday 22nd January, kicking off at 7.45pm.

The Club recognises the potential inconvenience caused to supporters by having to play in Bristol on a Friday evening, but has no alternative but to play on this date.

Bristol Rovers are playing Hartlepool at home on Saturday 23rd January and the Football Association and Football League have no powers to ask them to move that game, whereas the Bristol police will not allow both Bristol Clubs to play at home on the same day.

Moving to Sunday 24th January is not an option either due to the scheduled Championship fixtures for both Clubs on Tuesday 26th January (and again the Football League will not insist these games be put back to the Wednesday). All of which leaves us with no option but to play the FA Cup game on the Friday night.

Tickets for the 4th Round FA Cup tie will go on sale from the Main Ticket Office from 9am on Wednesday morning, regardless of the outcome of the 3rd Round replay between Cardiff City and Bristol City on Tuesday night.

Ticket prices have been confirmed for either game at £20 for Adults, £15 for Seniors/Students and £5 for Under 16's.

Due to the limited time constraints, tickets will go on immediate general sale for all City fans, with no normal priority period for Season Ticket Holders.

Both Clubs have indicated that they will offer capacity in the region of 2,000 for City supporters, which the Club felt would be satisfactory to meet the expected demand.

Why don't the football league just agree to move the game the weekday after to a Wednesday. It would give much more time for the clubs involved to arrange tickets etc if they were able to play on Sunday. Common sense surely has to prevail no?!

I really hope its against Bristol as i am working up there (its up from Newquay) all next week and would be great if its on the Friday, staying at my Mates Pub too so it could be a late one. Come on the City`s, Bristol on Tuesday and us on Friday. ;0) :scarf:

Great news. Well it could be anyway!

I've tried my hardest to get next saturday off but just impossible, so a friday night in Bristol will suit me just fine.

.........and it'll be an early start on the piss in Bristol

Bollocks forgot that! Maybe on the FA website then or possibly ITV 4.

The best hope is it being on the FA website, I don't think they'd announced their games to show yet. ITV have committed already, they're out, only hope is FATV! :fc:
