Sods Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 Feeling very optimistic, but reckon we have a big chance, nobody expects us to win and Newcastle have a few key men out. COME ON CITY! 3 POINTS AND BACK ON TRACK
ramboacdc Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 dont think we will get anything apart from a draw here but i like to be proven wrong. i will go out and say if we do win this match i will buy everyone who asks me a pie at the next game i go (which will probs be plymouth away or s****horpe)
Guest DavidJCW Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 A match thread started 16 hours 41 minutes before kick-off... blimey. Anyways, I REALLY hope we can pull off the win here and get back on track... my heart says yay, my head says most probably nay.
maddog Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 Come on boys Really hope we can just play well, if we lose like we did at St James' when we played half decent i wouldn't mind as much.
BoneDog Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 I've just read on Sky Text that Solano hasn't got international clearance yet. Please someone tell me this is not true and that he will be in the squad! Love how the matchday thread started just after midnight!

Leicester Mercury said he has, they devoted a back page talking about it yesterday. As much as we seem to collectivley hate the Mercury on here, i'd trust them over Sky in terms of knowing, but if he hasn't then there will be some red faces all round.

EDIT : The Mrs says that the Sky Text has been updated this morning, it said something different last night before we went bed. It now says that 'delays at the Peruvian FA have put his debut in doubt'. This better be old news and it's now been sorted out

BoneDog Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 http://www.thisisleicestershire.co.uk/spor...il/article.html "New signing Nolberto Solano has been cleared to make his debut against his former club". Crackerjack
BoneDog Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 Is Berner fit? He's still out it says on Sky and that link just above. It seems like he's been out forever now!
Vlad The Impaler Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 2-1 to the Foxes. Fryatt, Morrison for us. Nolan for them. This could be the win that kick starts our season again, however, if we lose it wouldn't be impossible to make the play offs but I think the team would have a task on their hands, especially if results don't go our way. But we'll win it, I've been saying they are going to slaughter us all week but just woke up this morning with a good feeling about this one. Gotta watch out for their danger man NILE RANGER, what a handful he was for our defence back in August, got a MOTM award aswell...
Manderic's pants Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 Just checked the OS, and says the same. Powell into the breach then, I hope!
The Padster Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 Come on boys Really hope we can just play well, if we lose like we did at St James' when we played half decent i wouldn't mind as much. Thats the key. We need to put up a fight for the points today, i'm not too fussed about a loss provided we don't look like half dead donkeys flailing about. Especially live on Sky !
The Padster Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 Gotta watch out for their danger man NILE RANGER, what a handful he was for our defence back in August, got a MOTM award aswell... The dreaded "lone ranger" as that twat gary birtles ( i refuse to give him capital letters ) kept saying last time.
davieG Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 More than 3 consecutive passes to a team mate will be an improvement on Barnsley. If they can manage it more than once we'll stand a chance.
Mack Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 The result I can stomach. Our best players on the bench, I am not so sure. I hope Pearson has taken a deep breath and re-booted his mind.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 Have got a feeling that once again we will play fairly well but might just miss out on a win. 1-1 is my prediction. Really hope Powell plays ahead of McGivern!
Thracian Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 There are certain things in our favour. a) Newcastle played Wednesday while we played Tuesday which may mean they'll still have some residue fatigue. b) The absence of some key players previously mentioned. c) Our own team's hoped for reaction to a shameful performance at Barnsley. d) The potential lift of Solano's inclusion IF we use him. e) Last time I watched Newcastle play here I seem to recall they lost 3-0 or something similar. But it was a long time ago.

But it was a long time ago. Worryingly though Thrac they have brought in four players two on loan and two permanents! One from Chelsea and Fitz Hall who used to play for Palace. Rumour has it three of them may make their debuts today? I hope NFP doesn't tinker too much with the team selection I beleive part of the reason we have lost our last three is because of the tinkering. Can't understand why Fryatt and Howard haven't been starting? Bring Waghorn on later when opposition defences are tired and he can run at them with fresh legs! Would be nice if Oakley and or Gallacher don't start on the wing but either N'Guessan and Dyer proper wingers!? Worryingly though I don't think that will happen.
Legend_in_blue Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 I've got a bad feeling about this. And the last I read, the glory hunters are on the way down today. 29 000 and counting...
suffolk fox Posted 30 January 2010 Posted 30 January 2010 I am concerned re their pace on the flanks. They have Routledge, Guterras, or whateva his name is, all pacy players and lovenkands! If either McGivern, Powell or Neilson plays they will all get a new ar****** ripped!
