lcfcadam Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 No need to even explain the problem with Sky's commentators which never seems to improve... Here's a Facebook group to join anyway so we can feel like we're making some sort of 'stand' against such a pathetic show of bias Join

A case of the pot calling the kettle and makes the whole thing totally ineffective. Shan't bother.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 The problem isn't Sky, the problem is commercial TV. There were far more Newcastle fans watching that match on Sky (it being away for them and their having a bigger fan base) and the job of commercial TV is to please it's viewers so that they stay tuned in for the adverts, which pay their wages. ITV are as guilty of this and so are Channel 5 on their occasional matches. Which is why I love the Beeb and will happily pay my license fee to get TV with an (almost) neutral bias.
Fosse Boy Posted 31 January 2010 Posted 31 January 2010 If you're at the game, you don't have to worry about stuff like that.
lcfcadam Posted 31 January 2010 Author Posted 31 January 2010 If you're at the game, you don't have to worry about stuff like that. I was at the game and watched back later on Sky+ The biased nature of the commentary was frankly embarrassing and in my opinion should be at least a little frustrating for any self-respecting Leicester fan...

It's going to happen, they're top, got "amazing fans", Sky love it.

[ Absolutely - i really dont have a problem with Newcastle (they have got good fans generally) its just the unbelievable SKY commentary, i went to the game yesterday but havent seen the sky plus of it yet, however when we played up in Newcastle earlier in the season i watched the game on SKY and couldnt quite believe it, i honestly thought Newcastle were the only team playing according to SKY, it was embarrasing a real "lets kiss Necastle's arses" promotional show - LEICESTER CITY counted for nothing!! Not the first time and wont be the last!!!]

lcfcadam Posted 31 January 2010 Author Posted 31 January 2010 "Sky dont like us... We dont care" For me it's not about Sky "liking us" or whatever, it's about an organisation whose only job it is to provide coverage of a football match, being unable to bless it with fair, unbiased and equally-representative commentary.
