Dames Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 Personally i think Mcgivern is a cracking full back that absolutely radiates intelligence.
jimmer Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 But McGivern is surprised at how well the Foxes have done, adding: "I expected this club to be fighting to stay in this division rather than aiming for a top-six finish."But this is a massive club with a great following and some quality players here, so it doesn't surprise me that much. "We have been around the play-offs from start to finish really, so hopefully we can continue with that and earn a top-six finish So which is it? are you surprised or not? Complete GOON
Maybes Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 The only thing McGivern has got going for him is his good looks.
MC Prussian Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 I thought he'd do better for this club and improve his game (knowing about his rather young age and all that), but this statement is ridiculous. Either he's been quoted wrongly or he is indeed out of his mind. In the latter case, you've let me down big time, Ryan.
Kingy_85 Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 The guys got a lot to learn, i wont slag him off just because he has high ambitions though, good for him ! At least we wont be signing him permanently.

This. It's only an interview and I think most are reading to much into it. I have no doubts he knows how well he has performed since he's been here, after all he must know that he's sitting on the bench for a reason. He's still a Man City player and still has a chance to prove himself so I don't see why he should just fold and accept that he wont make it at Man City. As a pro footballer that would be the wrong attitude to take. His goals may be further away from him than other players but he still has nothing to lose whilst he still has a chance to fulfill those goals. If he doesn't succeed life goes on and then he can readjust his ambitions.
Fox You Forest Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 This. It's only an interview and I think most are reading to much into it. It's not the first time he's said though is it, unless of course it's the same interview from about a month back and Sky have just twigged.

That's not the point though. He obviously is just just trying to aim for the best. We all know he doesn't stand a chance at present of a first team place in the Man City team but whilst he's still a Man City player your still going to aim for maximum even if it's unrealistic. It's the personna of a sportsman/woman and you can't really knock someone for ambition. Your not going to give an interview where you state your league 1 standard at best. I think Davie G was spot on and he should really just keep quiet but as a footballer in the media circus that's easier said than done.

lou Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 Thinking of bleaching my hair too. You should...... its a good look!
Guest DavidJCW Posted 5 March 2010 Posted 5 March 2010 The sooner he f**ks back off to Man City the better! He's deluded if he thinks he'll even be competing for a place on the bench at Man City next year! The guy is crap, can't even get into the team here so why he thinks he'll stand a chance at a top Premiership club who can go out and buy whoever the hell they like, is completely beyond me.
