Fosse Boy Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 Off topic for a second - but WHY, if your club is fighting against relegation from the Football League for the first time in 99 years, would you go in fancy dress, especially in a full Peter Griffin costume?

Because the Giant Chicken outfit had already been rented? What would you prefer - people to have turned up in silence with black armbands?

Edmund Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 What would you prefer - people to have turned up in silence with black armbands? I'm sure he would as it would've at least blended in with the real supporters in black.
weluv Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 yes, we invaded the pitch. As always, the boys didn't make it easy and it was, as has been said, sheer f*****g relief after 3 seasons. You walked it-well done. First season down we earned 1 point less than Swansea, but had to go into the playoffs because we got docked points, despite the club doing everything they could have to agree a CVA with all creditors. Last year we fooked up, with a manager who couldn't get the team to win ugly. This year we lost our focus and barely made it over the line when we should have run away with it. Don't give a fook tbh. We're finally out of that division and on the way up again.

Fortunately we are too good for that
Tommeh Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 I'll be honest I fvcking hate it when fans have a go at others and call them "small time" for over celebrating or enjoying the smaller achievements. I'll fall down 3 rows after a 61st minute equaliser at Oldham let alone securing promotion. Leeds fans have every right to be delighted, they've been through Hell and still turn up even though they are charged more than a good number of Premiership sides. Fair play to them, good leagues need clubs like Leeds..
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Crazy celebrations, they've only just scraped promotion from the 3rd division, just shows how far that club has fallen. Yeah, your intimate relationship with the second tier of English football is something to really be jealous of.

Double standards abound Like others have said it was more pure relief after making it hard for themselves in the end and I can fully understand why the fans reacted how they did. Well done to Leeds
