Leeds falling at the final hurdle?

Was going to post this in the Leeds thread but found it was closed, and I don't think theres a League One thread, anyway watching Leeds v Millwall (2-0 Millwall).

Gotta question if Leeds are falling at the final hurdle and have to settle for play-offs for the 3rd year running?

There still 2nd I believe and Charlton drawing at the weekend did them a big favour else Leeds would be finding themselves in 3rd, but since their cup exploits v Man Utd league wise they seem to have gone on an awful run, and where have all their fans gone? I was very impressed with there fans still filling there ground but on Sky tonight the 2 wings are quite empty, losing faith?

Millwall just 3 points behind, Charlton & Swindon 4 - the pressures mounting that's for sure.

Leeds have been lucky that they havent already been caught. The only teams who look like they can do it are Millwall and Swindon, I think Millwall probably will.

I think Leeds are at Norwich on Saturday, which really means if Norwich win they are just about champions and Leeds might only just be 2nd.

I haven't seen the 2nd half, but Millwall gave them a bit of a seeing to in the 1st half and were by far the better team.

If they end up in the playoffs on this form, they won't progress.

It's amazing really considering they were so comfortably sitting at the top of the table earlier in the season.

I think they will go up, just. Would seem slightly ironic if the win at Manchester United dented their promotion push but as I said I think they will pick up form late and scrape second place.

So happy that Leeds look like fooking it up again!

If they lose to Norwich on saturday and Millwall win i think they go third!

Millwall are at home to bottom team Stockport but Leeds GD is superior so they'll stay 2nd even if they lose.

There were over 21,000 people there. That's not bad at all for a mid week televised league 1 match. :dunno:

Yeah I know, still good for league one!

I was just under the illusion that Leeds always had a packed stadium with between 27,000 - 30,000 consistently throughout the season last season, i've just checked from last season and it's around 21,000 - 25,000 then the odd 27,000 - 34,000 thrown in here and there so no change really, my mistake.

(That's still great for League One and great considering Leeds have been there for 3 seasons and are stuttering at the moment)

Brilliant, absolutely superb day.

Millwall, Norwich and Charlton to go up id we stay down please, 2 Londons and it seems Norwich are nailed on. Elland road on the whole is a pretty weak away with terrible prices.

Got alot of new respect for the Canaries now, mate started signing their latest song in a seminar the other day, great moment:

Stop wearing our scarves

Stop wearing our scaaaarrrrvess

fu ck off United stop wearing our scarves

That 'someone' was SUAS.

It was marvellous - the day out, not him falling in puke. I laughed so much from beginning to end - not least the escort from Bermondsey back to civilisation.

"It's so quiet, it's so quiet, it's so quiet at the Den!"

In other news: Leeds have been free-falling for weeks. The confidence has blown from the squad and this week Bates was pleading with fans to get off the players' backs.

Anyone who thinks they 'have the right' to boo their team just needs to look at this lesson, Leeds 101: Give the team shit, they fail. Q****ingED.

Millwall look good at the moment, but Leeds still have to visit Charlton and also play Swindon, so it's gonna be tough for Leeds.

and Norwich this weekend havent they? I love they way theyre bottling this! Brilliant

Yes.

In a way it might be the perfect game for them, I don't think many will expect them to win so they may relax and play a bit.
