whitlock Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 From Stan Collymores Twitter - 99% CONFIRMED.Celtic sack Tony Mowbray.Neil Lennon interim manager.
Uncle Albert Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Losing 4-0 to St Mirren is absolutely shocking and being 10 points behind Rangers with them having games in hand is practically suicide up there, shit manager and Celtic only have themselves to blame for hiring a manager who had just got WBA relegated in the Prem. Hope Lennon doesnt take the job fulltime (if this is true), going to see his Q&A night in May.

I found out recently he tried to pull my current girl friend in 1999 when she was working behind the bar in Trav's of Griffydam. Great club that. Not exactly sure how I could form that into a question suitable for a Q&A Night though. Anyway, Mowbrey has been a utter shambles since he arrived there and losing 4-0 to St Mirren is totally unaccepetable. As I will be reminding the two Celtic supporters at Railway this evening Over and over again.
The Doctor Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 thank fook mowbrays gone. Shit manager, shit signings (Marc-antoine Fortune?, Diomansy Kamara?!) and refuses to change his system in order to get results when his system clearly didn't work with the players he brought in.
Edmund Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 It was inevitable. I don't agree with those who are saying Mowbray is a bad manager. He had West Brom playing good football and I reckon that West Brom would've probably won the league this season if he had stayed. Di Matteo inherited Mowbrays squad at the end of the day and players like Cox, Reid, Mattock etc who he brought in have had little impact.

WBA couldn't defend all last season - there is no point playing good football if you can't defend! Celtic have done exactly the same - reasonable going forward but absolutely shocking at the back. He should have went a long time ago. St Mirren winning 4-0 is like ManU getting beat by Cov 8-0 and Cov only having 9 players on the pitch for 70 minutes of the match. He tried to play passing football in a league where the standard is about League 2 for the most part and even Celtic and Rangers would struggle in the Championship.
FoxyPV Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 £68,000-a-week Robbie Keane. JESUS!! Real Value for money there!
Fox You Forest Posted 25 March 2010 Posted 25 March 2010 Trav's of Griffydam. Great club that. It was no Jimmy's though.
lildave3 Posted 26 March 2010 Posted 26 March 2010 Quite like Mowbray but he's done an awful job there, very disappointing. Would be nice to see Lennon do well for the rest of the season. Hopefully win the Scottish Cup.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 26 March 2010 Posted 26 March 2010 It's not that Celtic are doing shit this season It's just that Rangers have Madjid Bougherra seriously that is the ONLY reason
Matt Posted 26 March 2010 Posted 26 March 2010 thank fook mowbrays gone. Shit manager, shit signings (Marc-antoine Fortune?, Diomansy Kamara?!) and refuses to change his system in order to get results when his system clearly didn't work with the players he brought in. Shit league?
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 March 2010 Posted 26 March 2010 It was no Jimmy's though. Jimmys, fantastic, few Leicester players used to go there as well allegedly, although I never saw any there. The no.1 place for slags in the whole of Leicestershire and easily the best bank holiday Sunday night out ever.
The Doctor Posted 26 March 2010 Posted 26 March 2010 Shit league? if it was a shit league surely he should have done better than he did with west brom not worse?
Manwell Pablo Posted 26 March 2010 Posted 26 March 2010 if it was a shit league surely he should have done better than he did with west brom not worse? Ignore Matt, he is very ignoreant. I'd like to say when it comes to Scottish football, but I think it's a statement that is more accurate when left in it's original genral terms.

I can't remember ever seeing any there but it was hard not to get in a right state when you were there, do you remember the free bar they used to do for about two hours, madness. I could write a book about some of the stuff I got upto there.
