davieG Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 They're just the normal selling arrangements for away games, it's poorly worded on ticket info, basically says there was no chance of tickets being available after Saturday. They're not though are they as they didn't allow email/phone purchases until they realised they weren't going to sell them all. Many people that go to the away games like to get their tickets by that method and therefore couldn't get to the TO so didn't bother.
frenzal Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Well there were 100 left as of 3pm today. Bit disappointing sales wise both home and away really. I did ask them why general sale for the home game only allowed 2 tickets per person and they said it was because they wanted to stop touts buying in bulk, but that families could buy more than two if they phoned/went down and explained this to them.. Shame they didn't bother to tell said families that in advance though.
Anish Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Do you think I'd be able to swap my ticket (in the Cardiff end) to the Leicester end if I went to the Cardiff City ticket office tomorrow? I'd feel a bit awkward asking them over the phone or in person but if the Leicester end isn't sold I don't think there's any reason why they wouldn't accommodate me. Has anyone ever done this before!?

Has anyone ever done this before!? You could try it and plead ignorance, or you could just try entering through the away end if stopped say you thought you'd bought an away ticket. Of course you run the risk of being turfed out and having to watch it in the nearest pub full of Cardiff supporters.

Has anyone ever done this before!? I'd buy a ticket in the Leicester end at Leicester tomorrow (or by phone to collect from Jim/Whatever), then return your Cardiff ticket to their ticket office when you get there and get a refund. I doubt they'd let you swap to be honest, and it probably runs the risk of not being allowed in at all once they know you're an away fan with a home end ticket.

I'm gonna try the old sob story at the Leicester end first but I have the feeling there'll be a few of us trying it on so the earlier you get there the better I say. That rules me out as I hate getting to the ground early. Still gonna try though.
Anish Posted 11 May 2010 Posted 11 May 2010 Well I've still not received my Cardiff ticket through the post, meaning that I won't get it in time for the match now. I might just buy a ticket in the Leicester end (if there's any left tomorrow morning) and try to get a refund on the Cardiff ticket.

You'll probably be able to pick a replacement up at the ticket office that's if your original ticket is not there already!
lcfcpaul Posted 12 May 2010 Posted 12 May 2010 If you bought your ticket from Cardiff for the home end it is possible that Cardiff have interacted with the Leicester ticket office and if your name is on our data base Cardiff will not have sold you it and it will not be on its way to you or held at stadium for collection tonight - this happened to me for Milton Keynes game last season - the only way that you can be sure that you've purchased the ticket is to check if the money has gone from your account/card even if they have given you a reference number dont assume that you have one - they would definitely check if you gave an English postcode. Hope this helps and really hope you make it to the game tonight. I am on Coach 8 today and due to friends work commitments am travelling on my own it is my first time since Athletico Madrid in 1997 that i have used FoxTravel and would like to know if anyone else from on here is on that coach cuz i'm gonna be sooo bored on me own.
