Aeropars Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 Because he doesnt have any funding perhaps? Either way, all this stuff is just cringworthy. Goal music, team songs, and all other musical cheese really has no place ina football ground in my opinion. I remember whena goal was scored the noise would rung for minutes. Now after the goal music it goes quiet again. I dont buy this 'stadium kills the atmosphere' bollocks. Its the americanised approach to footbal which has killed most atmospheres.

Yeah I'll agree with you on all that, I just didn't with the bit about the music industy.
LCFC-ARAB Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 I bet there were people against the release of You'll Never Walk Alone when that was first played at Anfield
PAULCFC Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 Fair play to the lad for recording this.....used to stand in pen 3 at Filbo and sing it!
lcfcadam Posted 8 May 2010 Posted 8 May 2010 Can't begin to describe how typical it is that some City fans are getting 'embarrassed' by this and find it 'cringeworthy' - just look at the fooking video of them making it: they look like a pretty happy group of people to me. And no one can say that having a squad who can have a laugh together and do something like this isn't an advantage. Can you imagine Chopra and co. messing around in a recording studio having a good time with each other? Personally, I can't. So Aeropars, kirkwood etc - stop complaining. There really is no need when it comes to something like this. If the crowd catches on and manages to sing along, it'll be impressive. If not, it's still a testament to the team ethic that runs throughout this group of players.

If everybody knew the song..(which every body stood in pen3 did) Then it'd be good.Just goes to show that since the move over the road the club has lost it's soul
AndyBrew Posted 9 May 2010 Posted 9 May 2010 well I've just spent two hours with my lad making sure he knows all the words so I've done my bit
netherseal fox Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 I loved it although I felt the half-time version was a little embarrassing !
Guest Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Thought it was good on Sunday. Really like the pace it's sung at, much grander and more anthemic
C-man Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Loved it pre-match. Really got into it, as did the majority of SK1 at least. Hope we keep it for a long time, it'll catch on. Sounded great when I watched it back on Sky.
ArnarGunnlaugsson Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 I loved it although I felt the half-time version was a little embarrassing ! I think the lad did ok considering the mic kept cutting out and he probably couldn't hear the soundtrack back from the stand - needed some monitors just in front of him to cut the delay. The last 30 secs of the song was massive!

Sounded great when I watched it back on Sky. Definitely, if it keeps getting played at the same time it was played on Sunday, it will catch on and if it's played straight after a win. Sounded great, it could be really good if enough people can be bothered.
Ozwin Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 More people definately joined in yesterday, and that was what, after 1 play previously against Boro? It'll catch on, no doubt about it.
Narborough_fox Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Defiantly worked just before the game would like to hear it more though not the fast version the slow one like the new Jersey version would be nice! half-time felt sorry for the lad shite mic but end it was IMMENSE!
Ozwin Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 It's just a shame it was introduced at the end of the season.
Tilley Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Thought it was an embarrassing idea at first with the players involved and stuff but to be fair it sounded pretty good on Sunday.
MATLCFC Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 I am in agreement with most posts on here. I thought the song sounded great and I totally agree that we should try and adopt the slower song not the quick version that lasts 10 seconds, the slow version sounded great in parts against Cardiff. Like all songs it just needs time and eventually it will be the norm but the club has to stick with it and give it a chance!!! which I think they will do. Either way looking forward to it ringing round the walkers next season.
Hugo Sanchez Posted 10 May 2010 Posted 10 May 2010 Some Leicester fans are never happy, for years people have been banging on how much they wanted When you're smiling to be played before kick off and the club finally fooking do it and people still moan. I mean it was fooking perfect and sounded great and now is offically our club song. This should be play before kick off and then the post horn gallop. How can people say Leicester our just a tinpot club like Wigan or Hull. We have traditions and even the goal music ( yeah it is crap ) but ATLEAST its fooking Kasabian who have something to do with Leicester.
