StanSP Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Just cos they are a a big name doesn't mean they are the world's best currently though. As an example, Ronaldinho's a massive name of course, but he's clearly not played well enough for his club to warrant a place. I still think this year's WC will be one of THE best.
Uncle Albert Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Feel very sorry for Ballack, not being able to go because of an injury must be awful.. Still one less problem for England to worry about if we meet Germany in the second round or the quaters.

The Doctor Posted 17 May 2010 Posted 17 May 2010 Yann Kermorgant not in the France squad. failure. They lost on penalties in WC 06 final - you'd have thought they'd take all the top quality penalty takers they can find. on a side note - with this whole volcanic ash rearing up again could the tournament potentially be cancelled because the teams can't make it ,IF the ash and the flight cancellations continue?

Ronaldinho hasn't been excluded because of poor from at club level though, this season has been his best in ages, it's just that Dunga refuses to give into media / fan pressure and include someone he feels shouldn't be there and has had their chance. Before Ronaldinho it was Romario, they're notorious for pressuring the coaches.
