AoWW Posted 8 June 2010 Posted 8 June 2010 Anything, as long as it's pink and pretty. Nah, you need the reliability of Italian engineering.
Samilktray Posted 8 June 2010 Posted 8 June 2010 Shop around for a Golf, I bet you could pick up a very decent 1 for that money.
Tommeh Posted 8 June 2010 Posted 8 June 2010 Just buy a Megane Coupe for a few grand and use the change for a tank of fuel
stez Posted 8 June 2010 Posted 8 June 2010 Depends what you're after; a family car or a mid-life crisis-mobile.
Zingari Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 SAAB 93 TID vector sport, really fantastic drive , but if you take it easy on motorways etc , 55 mpg is easily attainable
Tabou Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 You can have mine for £7,500. It's this in silver. With the same wheels. And it's '08' plate. 20k miles, loved and cared for (never slept with it though).
Daggers Posted 9 June 2010 Author Posted 9 June 2010 I could easily consider the Saab or the Megane - not sure about Red Amy though. If it's got to be a car then it has to let the wind get at what hair is left, when it's not raining. I like the idea of convertibles, especially if I can fit both kids in. I haven't got a clue when it comes to cars though. I've bought three in my life: Vauxhall Victor 2.0 estate (lasted two months), some shit Volvo (three months) and a Polski Fiat (two hours). Wife bought a Zafira so I'm never listening to her.
AoWW Posted 9 June 2010 Posted 9 June 2010 You need one of these... all the best people have them. (Folding hard roof stops any c*nts from slashing the roof (like they would a soft top) but all the 'wind in hair' advantages - oh and room for 2 (compact!) kids in the back.
AoWW Posted 10 June 2010 Posted 10 June 2010 German engines never go wrong... (well, rarely) Don't believe it. (Used to work for Mercedes!)
Daggers Posted 11 June 2010 Author Posted 11 June 2010 Croyland Car Megastore are a bunch of pisstaking turds. Laughable pricing policy.
Daggers Posted 21 June 2010 Author Posted 21 June 2010 The world seems to be full of rude fantasists trying not to sell overpriced crap. So I'm making my own car. I have the rotting husk of a '92 Cooper - give me five weeks and it may even have a working engine in it. First up, strip to the metal and break out the welder...

Oh my - it's going to be pretty but ultimately useless, I can tell. Much like the Guzzi, really.
Daggers Posted 22 June 2010 Author Posted 22 June 2010 Oh my - it's going to be pretty but ultimately useless, I can tell. Much like the Guzzi, really. It will be awesome, so shush. Awesome and dashing. And small. And a very tight fit.
