Phube Posted 21 June 2010 Posted 21 June 2010 France, England, Spain, Italy, Germany - What the hell is going on? All over-paid, over-hyped prima-donnas? Too much pressure? I don't know, do you!?

I don't know, do you!? France - major rift between players and manager & between players and other players England - Team of rich arrogant b@st@rds choking at the crucial moment due to to much pressure from the fans and the media as per usual. Spain - Were quite good, denied anything by a brilliantly organised swiss side Italy - Time starting to catch up with them in some places Germany - Great in the first match, wasteful during the second
Jonezy Posted 21 June 2010 Posted 21 June 2010 Spain and Germany has actually done pretty well, but has been a tad unlucky. Edit: Holland has been pretty disappointing too, but still won both of their matches, so people forget about them.
purpleronnie Posted 21 June 2010 Posted 21 June 2010 France will get through no problem, so will spain and germany and italy, even england ...maybe. No concerns.

I don't know, do you!? Coriolis Component. South of the Equator the reversal of the Coriolis effect causes the football to react to spin in the reverse manner to how it behaves in the Northern hemisphere. This can be calculated using the Equation The important factor here is Ω, the angular rotation of the planet, which is either positive or negative depending on whether the calculation is applied to objects above or below the equator. This causes shots or long passes to curve away from the target in a manner opposite to what a player brought up in the north expects which is why so many shots curve away from the goal and long passes fail to hit their intended target. Furthermore, shorter passes hit directly to feet will deviate off the surface of the pitch in the opposite direction to which the players expect thus completely upsetting the players 'natural' reaction and leading to the poor first touch that has been so obvious among European teams in the tournament so far.
