connolly19 Posted 19 May 2005 Posted 19 May 2005 Do you think that Leicester were right in letting Dave Bassett go, or do you think that we should have kept him?

FNQ Posted 19 May 2005 Posted 19 May 2005 Do you think that Leicester were right in letting Dave Bassett go, or do you think that we should have kept him? 111802 I think we should have kept him on. Craig Levein has no experience of the English game and Bassett's contacts would have been invaluable.
step Posted 19 May 2005 Posted 19 May 2005 Keep Bassett? are you of your head? I cant believe anybody thinks he did anything for us. Found us good english players, For Fcuk sake? Contract negotiations, Ye they where brilliant? Advisor to MA, MA would have done loads better without bassett. Motivate the players, when? Bassett continued playing AA. why Bassett got rid of sturidge, for no reason Dumped Harper, when he was playing like a god. Bassett thought all he had to do was be here and us humble little plebs would feel so privalidged that he would not have to do anything. Thank you CL for kicking him out Connelly, dont ask such twatish questions

supedaj Posted 19 May 2005 Posted 19 May 2005 are you actually a leicester fan to ask such a question? what makes you think it was WRONG to let him go? If you give me a worthy response to that question i will take my hat off to you
Scow Posted 19 May 2005 Posted 19 May 2005 Lets lay off connolly19. He was only asking a question, no need for the harsh response.
supedaj Posted 19 May 2005 Posted 19 May 2005 ok - my apologies bassett is still a waste of space though, no matter what connolly19 says!

BartonFox Posted 20 May 2005 Posted 20 May 2005 He was a cancer on our Club and cost us millions in his salary, his player purchases (recommendations) and general incompetance as manager. How he was ever brought to the Club is beyond my comprehension and all those taken in by his cheeky cockney manner................. he was a grade A tosser living off a reputation built on Wimbledon.
Steven Posted 20 May 2005 Posted 20 May 2005 Lets lay off connolly19. He was only asking a question, no need for the harsh response. 111949 ... plus I think he is doing it for the "comedic" value. In a sense this thread is funny.
Durnerz Posted 20 May 2005 Posted 20 May 2005 Didn't he get Deane and Dickov though? Also had a hand in the Ben Thatcher transfer and a few others, agreed he was a shocking manager but not bad in the transfer market, just a shame we had an incompetant boob for a manager who couldn't get them to play as a team.
john_lcfc Posted 20 May 2005 Posted 20 May 2005 he was a mousey squeekey non good man in my opinion... is he still at the club as one of these roles that sound flash ? ie chief director of finance ??
Who ate all the pies? Posted 20 May 2005 Posted 20 May 2005 This is a great thread I laughed my ass off..super stuff more like this please!
