andy_croydz Posted 18 July 2010 Posted 18 July 2010 Anyone remember him? Allen signed him, he had played over 300 games for Aalborg in the Danish league, apperantly Allen's agent said he was the next Peter Schmiecal and then Allen never played him Anyway, he's been doing well in the MLS lately, did a great double save here... Note... Keller is still playing
Ozwin Posted 18 July 2010 Posted 18 July 2010 I started an FM the other day as Seattle purely because I saw Kasey Keller played for them.
Nickfosse Posted 18 July 2010 Posted 18 July 2010 Just for the record, Mrtin Allen didn't sign him, he was bought before Allen's appointment on the recommendation of Lil fucillo and his mates. Allen went for Fulop on loan for his keeper.
Narborough_fox Posted 18 July 2010 Posted 18 July 2010 Great double save, shame he was offside. The US commentators are so bad.
andy_croydz Posted 18 July 2010 Author Posted 18 July 2010 Great double save, shame he was offside. The US commentators are so bad. It's a score!
andy_croydz Posted 18 July 2010 Author Posted 18 July 2010 Wow, the goalkeeping standard is actually pretty decent in the MLS, look at some of the saves here...
Jon25747 Posted 18 July 2010 Posted 18 July 2010 Correct me if im wrong but Nyassi doesnt touch the ball does he?! and he still gets nominated for save of the week?!
andy_croydz Posted 18 July 2010 Author Posted 18 July 2010 Correct me if im wrong but Nyassi doesnt touch the ball does he?! and he still gets nominated for save of the week?! Nyassi was the defender who stopped it on the line, in America they include goal line clearences by defenders in the save of the week

Allen went for Fulop on loan for his keeper. it was the mysterious sporting director Don Mckay who arrived almost as quickly as he departed not Lil Fucillo and wasn't he part of the reason he left so qucikly
andy_croydz Posted 18 July 2010 Author Posted 18 July 2010 it was the mysterious sporting director Don Mckay who arrived almost as quickly as he departed not Lil Fucillo and wasn't he part of the reason he left so qucikly Either my memory is failing me or I wasn't playing attention back in 2007, who the heck was Lil Fucillo?
Nickfosse Posted 18 July 2010 Posted 18 July 2010 Yeah, you're right about Mackay, Fucillo was a scout and they both worked for the club before Allen's appointment and bought a pile of rubbish including Nielson and Hellings amongst others.
Ozwin Posted 18 July 2010 Posted 18 July 2010 Either my memory is failing me or I wasn't playing attention back in 2007, who the heck was Lil Fucillo? I don't remember either. I reckon we've both repressed that whole saga completely.
andy_croydz Posted 18 July 2010 Author Posted 18 July 2010 I don't remember either. I reckon we've both repressed that whole saga completely. Lil Fucillo sounds like an American rapper
andy_croydz Posted 18 July 2010 Author Posted 18 July 2010 Erm.... I don't mean to alarm anyone but... Fucillo was a scout for Swansea while Sousa was manager. You... You don't think he's going to bring him back
haraven Posted 18 July 2010 Posted 18 July 2010 I thought he got a rumour about him for being a boozer and gambler, but glad to see the Dane doing ok over there
andy_croydz Posted 18 July 2010 Author Posted 18 July 2010 I thought he got a rumour about him for being a boozer and gambler, but glad to see the Dane doing ok over there I'm not sure about boozer but I did read that he was a gambler. Apperantly got himself into 100k of debt from going down the casino and the owner of Aalborg paid off his debts
potter3 Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 Erm.... I don't mean to alarm anyone but... Fucillo was a scout for Swansea while Sousa was manager. You... You don't think he's going to bring him back I think they had some sort of falling out, so I doubt it.
Alexikokopops Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 Just for the record, Mrtin Allen didn't sign him, he was bought before Allen's appointment on the recommendation of Lil fucillo and his mates. Allen went for Fulop on loan for his keeper. Yeah, you're right about Mackay, Fucillo was a scout and they both worked for the club before Allen's appointment and bought a pile of rubbish including Nielson and Hellings amongst others. Martin Allen joined us on the 25th May 2007 and Jimmy Nielsen joined us just under two weeks later, so he wasn't bought before Allen's appointment. He was signed on the recommendation of Don MacKay, who joined as part of Allen's team (so didn't work for the club before Allen's appointment), along with the likes of Carl Cort and Sergio Hellings. Lil Fuccillo worked for us before, and after, Allen's appointment, before leaving for Newcastle, and then for Swansea under Paulo Sousa.
Nickfosse Posted 19 July 2010 Posted 19 July 2010 Don Mackay was not part of Allen's team. Allen bought a Sports psychology bloke and a coach called Whitbread. When I went to Kilworth Springs to hear him speak (Allen that is) he went through all the new signings. He had no knowledge of Nielson, Hellings or Kaebi. He was responsible for bringing DJ, Clemence, Chambers and Fulop(on loan).
