I launched it at the infamous 5-0 drubbing by Bolton at the start of 2001/2 season and ran it for 2 seasons upto promotion in 2003. Unfortunately I didn't sell a vast amount as couldn't get help in selling around the ground. However I enjoyed making and hope the rare few who did read it, enjoyed it. I have contemplated re-launching it but not sure if there's a market for fanzines these days.

I seem to remember Gary Silke being asked about this in a recent interview in the Merc and mentioning that The Fox was being kept going for the love of it rather than any profit due to the rise of forums like this and other competition. Where's The Money Gone ran for a short spell in the 90s too. Funny in places but the lack of a spellchecker or knowledge of half decent grammar made it unreadable at times.

Fosse Boy Posted 30 July 2010 Posted 30 July 2010 Not sure why I've never got into the whole fanzine scene really. I guess the internet's killing it a bit. Was a good article in FourFourTwo a few months back about the rise and fall of fanzine culture. Might see if I can dig it out.
BrummieFOX Posted 30 July 2010 Posted 30 July 2010 The Fox is still and always has been a decent read. Very informed, well written and they get a good interview now and again. Still buy every issue and hope it continues. Would be sad to see it go. Also remember, "Where's your money gone?" as well, though the only memory is a Fat bloke shouting that on the corner of Raw Dykes road, just after the canal.
