We all know MM is desperate for one and now with us trying to highlight our "brand" even more in the far east there is even more chance of a 36+ Portugal international turning up. MA turned down JFH, we nearly got Davids and potentially Pires so who next? Where's Figo?

Frankly all the noises coming from the club focus on sustainability, so be surpassed to see us wasting wages on players we don't add any thing to what we've got. Overall the squad's pretty robust - a few holes where loan players filled in last year, but wouldn't be surprised to see one or two signings to plug those gaps.

Just seen Derek Riordan supply some class corners and crosses. We constantly getting linked with him. Tidy player, and can score goals. Wouldn't mind seeing him here for a fair price.

I've been following his career down there for a couple of seasons now and in pre-season especially, he knew where his teammates were with a pass, distrubition for a lad of his age was top draw and as he is only going to be on the fringes of the Arsenal squad at the moment (or for the foreseable future) we should seriously consider looking at him. He won't probably cost much - if anything (don't know his age so maybe a compensation package could be agreed) but if we were to sign him or were even thinking of doing so, we should. If for nothing else, he could deliever some stunning corners and free-kicks. One thing we are lacking but onwards and upwards under Paulo!

Didn't Milan & Martin Allen have a massive domestic over signing him back in the day? I think we need a striker, and a winger, then I think I'm pretty happy with the summer's work. Couple on loan from the Prem maybe? There's no point spunking silly money on a big signing who would really only be here for the money.

Riordan is a very on/off player id like leicester to avoid tbh
