Wils Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 Leeds fans sell out 6,700 for trip to Oakwell. I know its a derby and very close but that is decent.
Wilkesy Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 Having read that article it looks like they pretty much sell out wherever they go. Fair play to them.
Guest Bilo Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 In terms of away support, nobody outside the top five or six of the Premiership can match Leeds. You just can't knock their away support.
Shrenchel Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 Well it is a very big City and Distirct Exactly. The city's about 3 times as big as Leicester and the club's had a far more successful past to help build up their fanbase. I can't knock their support noise and standing wise but the fact they average a few thousand more than us at home and regularly sell-out on the road is nothing to wank home about.
dandannieldanok Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 We took about 4,000 for two years on the trot to Oakwell, both times we were in a relegation battle with a shit team. These numbers for Leeds are good, but nothing special.

CosbehFox Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 Until you visit, you don't realise how big Leeds is or recognise it's catchment areas like Wakefield (which I believe is one of the biggest cities without a football league club).
Guest Bilo Posted 10 September 2010 Posted 10 September 2010 I can see what people are saying about the numbers Leeds take but what's most impressive is the fact that they all stand and sing for 90 minutes. We regularly take 4-5k to Coventry but most sit in silence and if Forest gave us over 6k we'd probably come close to selling out too, but would everyone get behind the team like the Leeds lot do? Would they buggery. Not just about the numbers for me, it's the right type of people going. Leeds manage both everywhere they go which is pretty much unheard of outside the Prem.
J.Lisemore Posted 11 September 2010 Posted 11 September 2010 No suprise really, Leeds are a massive club with massive support. MASSIVE!
