Guest Basildon Fox Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Trick has been missed here... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1314012/Sheffield-United-sign-Ipswich-keeper-Richard-Wright-month-deal.html Richard Wright hasn't been any good since he joined Arsenal about 8 years ago. We definitely have not missed anything on that one.
Mack Posted 22 September 2010 Posted 22 September 2010 Richard Wright hasn't been any good since he joined Arsenal about 8 years ago. We definitely have not missed anything on that one. I dont agree, he looked more than a capable keeper at Everton and Ipswich, and as he is obviously willing to sign a short term deal it would have been very low risk. With Weale struggling with injury it would have been a no brainer for me.

Mack Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 Really? Why did they release him then? They got Fulop from Sunderland, someone else we should have signed! He was a different gravy when we had him on loan. Wright was fans and players player of the season 08/09, so it's probably more to do with Keane than anything Wright has done. To get someone of that pedigree on a 4 month short no risk deal is a no brainer for me. Huge experience that would breed confidence in the young defenders in front of him.
Madrid_Fox Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 I know a young lad by the name of Miguel Vitor who can do a job as a centre back.
Jimmy Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 Richard Wright has signed a 4 month deal at Shef Utd
Ric Flair Posted 23 September 2010 Posted 23 September 2010 I still think sousa should ask Ferguson to lend us Bebe for the season, god knows what he's like but that hasn't stopped Man Utd paying £7 million for him either. No-one knows!!!
Sib Dogg Posted 24 September 2010 Author Posted 24 September 2010 Please read my opening comments of this thread I started. It relates to a once potentially good young centre half who became a decent right back at Championship level.... But now he's clearly SH*T, 4 assists tonight, Pompey will be tabling a bid for him soon. Single handedly giving our opposition 8 or 9 goals this season. The poor lad just isn't good enough.
Trav Le Bleu Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 I've read your opening comment and it still doesn't make sense. Who are these two brilliant players?
Lord Fox Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 think we should of snapped up iwelumo before he went burnley.. . "We also desperately need a centre forward who is big, strong and pacy." n'guessan???? No... not N'Guessan we need someone who can play football.... and not a 'half a good game' in 10
