Sib Dogg Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Michael Morrison established himself as a Championship quality right back last season... He is not a good enough centre back. The games at Palace and against QPR have shown this. We desperately need an experienced centre back to plug the gap until Tunchev returns, why have we not yet brough one in on loan??? Matty Fryatt is not big enough, strong enough or quick enough to play the lone central striker role in the 4-2-3-1 system, FACT. Howard does the job well, but has not got the pace required. Look at the big boys, the players who play this role are of a similar build etc; Drogba, Chamakh, Berbatov, Torres. We also desperately need a centre forward who is big, strong and pacy. An Emile Heskey if you like, but one who knows where the goal is! Loan signing number 2. Come on Paulo, your squad is two players short of a squad good enough to go up, once they all understand you and your tactics. Sort it out.
Zingari Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 this football management lark is a piece of piss really isn't it just get it done PS
Zingari Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Who are 'these 2 players' ?? ah, i think you may have stumbled on the difficult bit
Nodsy Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Who are 'these 2 players' ?? What about Danny Shittu for the defender? Not sure about the striker, although I agree that we need someone.
dandannieldanok Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 What about Danny Shittu for the defender? Not sure about the striker, although I agree that we need someone. No not Danny Shittu. We all saw how easily Morrison was turned for their 2nd goal, Shittu would have been exactly the same. I wouldn't be against us signing a new centre half but I don't think our current players are the problem. They're out of form and disorganised, that can be sorted out on the training ground.
mikelcfc Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 think we should of snapped up iwelumo before he went burnley.. . "We also desperately need a centre forward who is big, strong and pacy." n'guessan????
Onions Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Our team is good enough. Just give them some support
Finnegan Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 He is right, though. Our team would definitely be improved by Drogba, Chamakh, Torres or Berbatov.
Corky Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 He is right, though. Our team would definitely be improved by Drogba, Chamakh, Torres or Berbatov. Not sure about that, he's off form currently.
MPH Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 He is right, though. Our team would definitely be improved by Drogba, Chamakh, Torres or Berbatov. And where the chuffin nora would we play all four of them? We'd just get another unsettled transfer window of players complaining.....as if a contract with leicester isn't good enough for them...
HonradaRaposa Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 think we should of snapped up iwelumo before he went burnley.. . "We also desperately need a centre forward who is big, strong and pacy." n'guessan???? :crylaugh: :crylaugh: We've had them in Akinbiyi and Benjamin, all agree fookin awful.
CosbehFox Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Who knows maybe the club have asked around and the players available are utter dishwater, want super money or don't have the right attitude. Good players won't lower themselves....as proved by Pearson's time here....loanees and trying to gamble on the odd lower league lad are the way forward in this division.
doughnut Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Striker is James Vaughan, strong, quick, decent in the air and scores goals. Think we could have got him for half the fee we payed for Waghorn. Would have to wait until January now but i would snap him up then Centre back what about Curtis Davies on loan from Villa?? Also bring in Shay Given on loan till January! He cant go anywhere else in premiership until then and he isnt happy sitting on the bench, Man City already said they will offload him in January. Given may be on big money but we already seen that they paying most of Bellamys wages at Cardiff, see if we can do the same!
CosbehFox Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 And the reason Given and Curtis would want come to Leicester is...................................
m00nie Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 that Connor Wickham at ipswich looked the kind of player we could do with.. big strong but can still get about a bit.. like cardiff fox said though its allright knowing what players you would like its getting them thats the hard part.. opposing teams in same league wont want to give you there best players, hard to get decent players to drop down a league.. which leaves the lower leagues or foreign (both of which would be classed as a big gamble by alot as unproven)...
doughnut Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 To play first team football, instead of sitting on bench. Davies aint replacing Dunne or Collins at Villa, maybe up for a 3 month loan. Given already said he just wants to play 1st team football, y not put a cheeky offer of a 3 month loan deal until January in, cant hurt
Finnegan Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 I hate to say it guys - but we're starting to look really silly for letting go of one of our best ever striking prospects. Louis Dodds has FOURTEEN in only a hundred games for Port Vale. That's the sort of finishing you can't let slip.

Finnegan Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 just waiting for Thracian to point out he was playing as a winger for most of them. Like Ronaldo when he got the golden boot?
eye666 Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 I wouldn't mind Morison from Millwall. Banged a few in this season, looks good in the air and looks like a mean bastard. Doubt the Mill would want to sell though.
Edmund Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Who are 'these 2 players' ?? Heskey would do a job at CB.
stifler Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 striker morison, millwall? danny graham, watford? defender matthew mills, reading?
Mack Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 I take it Moreno has been written off already? And Lamey? To be fair they both looked well out of their depth when they played. Sousa's signings have been shit.
Adster Posted 20 September 2010 Posted 20 September 2010 Eliiot chamberlain/ashley chambers from the academy should be given a chance at least. Proven goalscorers.
