MikeyT Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 "Angry Kitson, 28, hit out at City supporters in 2005, claiming jibes about his hair should be treated as racist abuse" How is that racist?? Ginger's aren't a race!! Much like blondes or brunettes aren't a race. haha
Basingstoke Fox Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 lol We need to think of some Ginger songs now!
Master Fox Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 I like the fact the mirror refers to him as 'The carrot-topped striker' Dave Kitson: Rocky Dennis^
MikeyT Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 I like the fact the mirror refers to him as 'The carrot-topped striker' Dave Kitson: Rocky Dennis^ Should do wonders for confidence then.
dandannieldanok Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Why would Stoke fans "absolutely batter" one of there own players? disabled fans, disabled club.
Brainy Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Pfa boss Gordon Taylor told Kitson to toughen up and stop letting the fans get to him. He said: "Dave should be proud of his hair. It makes him stand out if he is having a good game and he could always dye it.

Basingstoke Fox Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Why would Stoke fans "absolutely batter" one of there own players? disabled fans, disabled club. From what I understand, he wasn't at the club at the time.
Houdini Logic Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Anyone see Kitson streak during the S****horpe v Utd match the ohter night?
sdb Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Why would Stoke fans "absolutely batter" one of there own players? disabled fans, disabled club. it was in 2005...Kitson joined them in 2008!!
dandannieldanok Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 My mistake...........still a bunch of ******.

Rodders Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 "Angry Kitson, 28, hit out at City supporters in 2005, claiming jibes about his hair should be treated as racist abuse" How is that racist?? Ginger's aren't a race!! Much like blondes or brunettes aren't a race. haha To be fair to him, it was the Mirror journo who stated Kitson said it was racism. In the section actually quoted, Kitson said it was "as bad as racism". One interview, one story about Kitson from a better quality paper: http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2007/dec/29/newsstory.reading http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2010/may/27/stoke-kitson-non-league-investment. Seems like a pretty grounded and articulate guy with some strong - and refreshing, in the football world - opinions, who interested in more than just his salary, possessions, girlfriend(s), gambling and prostitutes, who's proud to be his own person and has an awareness of a wider context. Shame that the gutter press chooses to focus on a trivial story like this hair one.
tomtom Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Why would Stoke fans "absolutely batter" one of there own players? disabled fans, disabled club. disabled Post Stoke are a decent club with Fans that fully get behind their team when they play at home creating a brilliant atmosphere, We could certainly take a leaf out of there book down at the walkers
BoneDog Posted 24 September 2010 Posted 24 September 2010 Don't give him the ginger banter tonight cos it sounds like it fires him up (excuse the matchstick pun). He scored two goals in a 2-0 win on the night at Stoke he was talking about. Oh and hair is nothing to be proud of Gordon, it's just hair you crazy fool.

I remember reading those articles and thinking the same, but then he went and did something really stupid a few weeks later (speeding??). He also had a pretty dire attitude whilst at Stoke.
