Portsmouth Post Match

Why do people keep saying Sousa can't be blaemd for Morrison's performance? Sousa picked him, inexplicably! He was awful in the QPR game and it is obvious he is not a centre back. That is why Pearson played him at right back. He has cost us 9! goals this season! 9! Anyone with half a brain would have dropped him!

There wouldn't be nearly as much of a backlash from fans today if he had picked 2 of our best 3 players - Wellens and Hobbs. WTF was he doing not picking Hobbs? That is inexcusable. I could have told you that before kick off as well.

Playing 4-3-2-1 with Waggy on the wing is another shocker.

He's managing like a twat. IT IS HIS FAULT!

Agreed with that statement.

One thing we know about Michael Morrison is he needs alongside him is experience. Playing Vitor with Morrison at centre-back was asking for disaster.

You could almost understand it, if he had no other fit defenders.

But playing two young centre backs who don't speak the same langauge together away from home, is a standard recipe for disaster.

Completely the managers fault.

' Levein, you're just a continental Levein, you're just a continental Levein'

Is my thoughts pretty much. The guys trying to make our team play in a way that is contradicting their natural strengths that we saw last season.

The only comfort that I can take is that the last time we took a 6-1 hiding away from home we ended up in the premiership....

Just seen the "highlights" of the match and here's my two cents about the game:

1. Stupid handball by Morrison for their first - what the hell was he thinking? If you want to clear a ball as a centre-back, use your head.

2. King wasn't offside, but from the linesman's perspective, I can see why he gave it.

3. Logan was a beast in goal, shame he conceded six.

4. No more long-range shots, Mr. Waghorn. Unless they're spectacular enough to hit the target.

5. Stupid push 'n pull by Vitor. Surely, Nugent tumbles like a bag of potatoes. No straight red, a booking for sure, but you'll have to ask yourself what the whole move was good for. Absolutely nothing.

6. Second goal unlucky. Deflection off Berner's arm. Bummer.

From thereon, it was all Portsmouth.

7. 2 great saves from Logan, defense couldn't care less (Neilson in particular). 3-0 to Pompey.

8. Neilson having a shocker by giving the ball away in our half. 4-0, oh my.

9. At least Howard cared and saved us some dignity.

10. Logan was a beast in goal.

11. Back four three having yet another shocker in the own box, failing to clear the ball fast enough. BOOM. Yer own fault, stupid.

12. Would the defense please take care of Michael Brown? Michael Brown is now in the box. Michael Brown sco... oh shit.

13. Did I already mention that Logan was a beast in goal?

To sum it up:

No connection between midfield and attack (again) and the defense having the worst nightmare since the invention of the word.
