Leicesterboi Posted 23 May 2005 Posted 23 May 2005 For those out there who are vein like myself, i was just wondering what product you use in your hair as i use dax wax. it is very strong but bad for the hair apparently!? I am straight by the way for those doubters after this post lmao.

connolly19 Posted 23 May 2005 Posted 23 May 2005 I use V05 hair putty. It got best grooming awards for 2005 by FHM. My mate uses Dax Wax , and he says sometimes it kind of hurts your head when you put it in. Is that true??

Durnerz Posted 23 May 2005 Posted 23 May 2005 Some cheap stuff that holds better than brylcreem or anything like that, £1 for a massive tub and smells alright too.
Cat Burger Posted 23 May 2005 Posted 23 May 2005 I used to use Dax wax it was good but hard to get out when I washed it, I used the red one and it was just absolutely ridiculous how thick it was I have kind of long hair now so i use the Fructis texturising gum shit.
Tomassi Posted 23 May 2005 Posted 23 May 2005 Fructis strong hold when i have some hair.. but never really need it now
Cat Burger Posted 23 May 2005 Posted 23 May 2005 Some pineapple stuff. 113991[/snapback] A squirt of pineapple stuff here, a vigurous rub of the hands there... And voila!!!!

Chimp Posted 24 May 2005 Posted 24 May 2005 Talking on hair products, there's a range from Umberto Giannini that is fast becoming one of the most popular, especially among females, though no-one seems to know why it's become so popular so fast. I think I know why...
Matt Posted 24 May 2005 Posted 24 May 2005 I'm growing my hair now (Planning to grow it quite long, not pony tail length[ thats just wrong on men] but quite far down my neck) so it takes more styling so I use Dax Wax (The red one) When my hair is/was short I use Brylcream (I still have 3 bottles left over) infact my "cosmetics" shelf is loaded..3 Bottle of Brylcream, 2 tins of Dax Wax (Although ones almost empty) L'oreal Remix gel, A different variaty of deodrents (6 to be exact ) 3 wash bags(I got given 2 on a plane to Australia - Got some decent stuff in them aswell - The 3rd wash bag is one I bought) Moisturiser...I think thats it

Not experienced too many problems...YET! It does hurt abit - I.e, My hair seems to be knotting up alot now(but i think thats partly due to length) and my hair also seems to "pull" abit when I use Dax, It is also (as someone said earlier in the thread) quite hard to wash out, but apart from that I have had no problems ..hmmm come to think off it, I have listed 3 bad things about Dax there, maybe it is bad for my hair
Cat Burger Posted 24 May 2005 Posted 24 May 2005 Yes, pretty much what you said there became a problem for me, my hair was so disgusting after a while that I had to stop using it. I think that when you wash it out, sometimes you think it's gone but it's still there and it builds up over time. I was over-exaggerating by saying 'nightmares' anyway it's good if used sparingly. Good luck growing your hair I'm in 'the in between stage' and it looks crap.
andy_croydz Posted 24 May 2005 Posted 24 May 2005 I use V05 fibre putty cracking stuff to be fair used to use plain old crap 1 quid for a tub gel before its crap cloggs up in ur hair after a few hours sometimes and it doesent style the way you want it sometimes because it falls back into place, fibre putty is the way forwards

I plan to just wear a hat for the next month or so I'm not sure whether to go for the mullet look (Which I said i'd never have! ) or just grow it I know what you mean about thinking you've washed it out, I thought I had this morning just too my hat off and my hair so thick because its so clogged up, e.t.c

Let me tell you it absolutely kills and causes further injury when you try to get to the sink to wash your eyes out with the cold tap (stubbed toes, bashed knees etc) FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MATT DONT BUY IT!!
