Baggies boosted by big cup support

Hi All. Albion fan in peace here.

main reason for joining is to ask for a little help with parking. ive been told its a difficult ground to park near without being towed away. Found a couple of road neames after having a search through, Bruce Street and Upperton Road. the rugby club has also been mentioned. Any other recomendations?

Just had a read through this thread. Hopefully we'll prove the few people wrong who dont seem to rate our support. I can only be honest. Over the past few years our home atmosphere has dipped, but my opinion is we've always been and still are one of the best sets of away fans in the land, but thats up to us to prove it tonight! We've now sold 3'500+ with 750 tickets available on the night, so we should break 4k.

Predictions for the game.. we seem to be in a very fortunate position at the moment whereby we have a very strong squad. Our 'reserves' who arnt getting a game in the league at the moment are very strong back up players, so although there will be 8-10 changes tonight, you'll still be up against a good side.

Likely line up...

Myhill

Zuiverloon Tamas Pablo Mattock

Barnes Dorrans Reid Tchyoi

Cox

Bednar

My prediction is 4-0 Albion, but may the best team win.

You'll not be able to sit in the east stand, as it's not open.

To the albion fan, there are a few car parks nearby which as signed, but don't park in the morrisons or odeon car park, else you'll get a ticket. Can't see it being four nil to you. We're gonna have a few players coming back who will feel they've something to prove, so it won't be easy. Saying that, we've never beat you at the walkers yet. The signs look good for you, but it'll be a tougher game than you think.

to be honest, i hope it is closer. Would much rather have an exciting game and nick the winner in the last minute, thats what the cups all about!

Yeah, parking's a bit rubbish. I used to park in the streets around here and walk twenty minutes to the ground. There's probably places that are a lot closer, but I used to go to a pub near where I parked.

hoping the fans that do turn up tonight really get behind the boys and make it a good night, cant believe we have 13000 season ticket holders and for 10 quid a ticket havent gone crazy , yet if we win and get through to quaters and draw arsenal or man utd they will all come out the wood work and all kids who support these teams will be wanting to go , makes me sick

To the West Brom fan I assume you will come off the M69 at Fosse Park, if you follow the ring road towards Wigston/ Oadby and then turn onto either Saffron Lane or Aylestone road both these roads will take you straight into the city centre. There is plenty of free parking at the ends of these roads very close to the ground.

Turn up early and park at the rugby if you dont mind paying a fiver.

You can't park on Upperton and the roads off it (Bruce, Noel, Western, Stuart, etc) all get very busy and you'll get stuck in the Narborough Rd jam.

If you want street parking, go the other way towards the uni / fire station.

Albion fan ignore these lot telling you to pay to park park in bruce street just off narborough road and you can walk from there, there is a friendl pub called the western on route away ans can go in and its decent beer.
