Inter Milan Friendly?

Recommended Posts

We had been asked for our views over the last 24 hours on this potential fixture and given feedback that we should go ahead as we believe it will attract a good crowd.

Previously we had advised against holding a 2nd pre-season home friendly against non-UK opposition with 6 other potential opponents mentioned, however we feel this will attract the crowds.

Care to expand on this?

A few weeks ago we were asked our opinion on potential opposition for the last weekend in July, but knowing the Celtic game was already agreed.

There were various levels of cost involved in bringing different clubs over. We felt that from the list of clubs that were potential opponents, none of them would have resulted in a big crowd attending, our most optimistic guess would have been 10k given the Celtic game was on as well.

Situation is different with Inter as

a) They are already in this country, so

B) The costs are far less

c) They are a much larger club than the previous options

We feel that fans will turn out for this one as long as tickets are reasonably priced & it should be a good night

Foxes_Trust can you please do something about Horny Henry , most of the fans hate what he does ( see a number of polls for proof ). Arent you supposed to tell the Club what the Fans think.

Please Please Please try and get then too let him go. I feel very strongly about this and i think he is making us a laughing stock. And i dont really see the point. A number of threads have talked about various activities before the game to get the crowd going. Cant you put some of these ideas to the Club?

That is the crux of the matter for me. After all it is a friendly game and if tickets are anything more than £20 I will not go, simply on principle.

I like your optimism even though we couldnt beat teams like Rotherham this season, Inter will be a different class!

We intend to have conversations with the club about pre & half time entertainment.

We will canvass for ideas during June

Thing I don't understand is, why do the club keep annoucing things when there not certain yet, the Celtic match does now have a date set but why did the annouce it before this was set, Celtic or Leicester themselves could possibly pull out and disappoint Leicester fans yet again, It is the same thing about the game with Inter Milan game, why don't the club set a date/ticket prices then annouce it all.

Leicester City hope to be in a position to announce a July friendly against Italian giants Inter Milan early next week.

Thats a quote of the OS well surly if the club have put it on the OS doesn't that mean they have already annouced it?:S

Good point, I was thinking the exact same thing but I knew if I posted that sort of thing people would just accuse me of being negative and slating the club for no good reason etc.

This fixture hasn't even been finalised yet but the club announce it to the whole world when it could easily fall through. I am not taking it for granted cos knowing LCFC this could end up being the next debacle. ;)

I know it was down to the last minute fitness test but example - Jani Sturm, no one really knows if he was going to be any good or not, but everyone seemed to be quite exited about his arrival then it fell throught last minute.
