connolly19 Posted 26 May 2005 Posted 26 May 2005 I heard that rumour aswell but I didnt think it would be true so I immediately dismissed it, but now Mad Biker has given that hint I am hopeful. If it is true it will be class to see Adriano at the Walkers!
Hazza Posted 26 May 2005 Posted 26 May 2005 They're playing Pompey, Palace and Norwich so there could be a chance. I'm sure Roberto Mancini would like to come back and visit the Walkers Stadium. Out of interest, if it came down to one or the other, who would you prefer playing, Inter or Celtic? Personally i'd go with Inter, Celtic has lost a bit of appeal with O'Neill leaving, and Lennon might not be there either so the only redeeming thing for them (imo) is they'll bring a lot of fans. Inter's team is just great though, even without several first team regulars it's likely that players such as Davids or Recoba could play, not too bad at all.
hinds12 Posted 26 May 2005 Posted 26 May 2005 i would love to go and watch inter. martins is top class
Louise Posted 26 May 2005 Posted 26 May 2005 Out of interest, if it came down to one or the other, who would you prefer playing, Inter or Celtic? 115848 Inter definitely, as you said Celtic's only appeal to me were MON and Lennon. Of course I could go to both, depends on how football-starved I'm feeling in a couple of months.
TornadoShaunUK Posted 26 May 2005 Posted 26 May 2005 Great news if it comes about.. referring to a post on there.. I personally would pay £30 if they were to charge that much? How often do we get teams like Inter Milan at the Walkers? Not often enough I can tell you...

TornadoShaunUK Posted 26 May 2005 Posted 26 May 2005 .. Id put a tenner on that we'll be charging more if we are playing them..
Steven Posted 26 May 2005 Posted 26 May 2005 .. Id put a tenner on that we'll be charging more if we are playing them.. 115872 The cost of the tickets, especially if there are two games, will determine the size of the crowds.
Jonbluefox9 Posted 26 May 2005 Posted 26 May 2005 I think the idea that Fox Fan came up with on that forum is a good one. Some kind of buy one get the second half price or something like that deal would work well.
Leicesterboi Posted 26 May 2005 Posted 26 May 2005 Id love Inter to pay us a visit. It would be a good moey spinner aswell. It may get a bit boring though because when we win the FA cup next year and draw Inter .... may just be a bit tedious! LMAO!
Scow Posted 26 May 2005 Posted 26 May 2005 I'd be delighted if we could arrange that - I don't think Mancini had the opportunity to say a proper goodbye to us after leaving to go Fiorentina. He wants to make amends I imagine.
Guest Posted 27 May 2005 Posted 27 May 2005 I wonder how much more money this would make compared with the Infamous Pepsi Max Tournament?

Jonbluefox9 Posted 27 May 2005 Posted 27 May 2005 I don't think Mancini had the opportunity to say a proper goodbye to us after leaving to go Fiorentina. He wants to make amends I imagine. We played Fiorentina in a pre-season friendly at the beginning of Peter Taylor's second season in charge. Mancini was in charge of Fiorentina at the time.

Foxes_Trust Posted 27 May 2005 Posted 27 May 2005 We had been asked for our views over the last 24 hours on this potential fixture and given feedback that we should go ahead as we believe it will attract a good crowd. Previously we had advised against holding a 2nd pre-season home friendly against non-UK opposition with 6 other potential opponents mentioned, however we feel this will attract the crowds.

Katy Posted 27 May 2005 Posted 27 May 2005 Im hugely looking forward to this pre-season, may go to this one instead of Celtic if Martin O and Lenny arent going to be there - the tickets wont be cheap for these two games - im not rockafella!

C-man Posted 28 May 2005 Posted 28 May 2005 If it happens, i cant wait to see Paddy McCarthy have Adriano in his back pocket
Wilson Posted 28 May 2005 Posted 28 May 2005 Should be a good game if Inter play all their decent players.
