Kingylcfc Posted 24 December 2010 Posted 24 December 2010 In my opinion if Yuki has been dropped from the Japanese national side then there is something wrong. He has been in great form and how he isn't in the squad could allude to either him not wanting to leave for the cup or football in Japan has grown in quality dramatically and now Yuki cannot fit into it...
z-layrex Posted 24 December 2010 Posted 24 December 2010 Well don't get me wrong I don't know anything about Japanese football, but we had that gentleman from Japan post here a couple of weeks ago, he told us that there were quite a few younger, better choices than Abe these days, and that if he did get chosen it would certainly be for the bench.
Kingylcfc Posted 24 December 2010 Author Posted 24 December 2010 but tbh Yuki must be playing in one of the best leagues in the world compared to the rest of the japanese squad...
Father Ted Posted 24 December 2010 Posted 24 December 2010 I've also heard that very few Japanese players venture abroad from the J-League. This could perhaps be something to do with it Maybe he's slipped under the radar or as New Zealand's have a policy in rugby - they don't pick players who play outside of New Zealand. This could also be the case perhaps??

Shrenchel Posted 24 December 2010 Posted 24 December 2010 Also, anyone that thinks he chose not to represent his country in an international tournament they're odds on to win so that he can dick about in the bottom half of the second division is shittin deluded.
mitsuo Posted 25 December 2010 Posted 25 December 2010 it's because the coach want young players to prepare for 2014. Nakazawa and Tulio are injured. No Abe, no kengo nakamura..... i don't know why but the coach had to choose..... He want to build a strong squad for 2014. Some guys from the World cup 2010 will be replaced soon
Finnegan Posted 25 December 2010 Posted 25 December 2010 Shrenchel beat me to it. It's Japan, not Kazakhstan. They might not be a top, top nation but they've still got good players playing in good leagues.

fatmando Posted 25 December 2010 Posted 25 December 2010 I don't know why he's not in the squad but just hope that Abe can take this on the chin and still give 100% for us.
ACF Posted 25 December 2010 Posted 25 December 2010 Can people just listen to mitsuo, he knows what is going on!

mitsuo Posted 25 December 2010 Posted 25 December 2010 It's not the end of the world :-) Maybe later, he'll play for japan again. It was a difficult choice for the coach but we need to understand him. He want to build a team for 2014. Players from the world cup like Nakazawa 32, Tulio 29 , Kengo nakamura 30 , Endo 30 etc.... are very good but are not eternal. Many complaints from Japanese fans too. i don't know if Endo will be in Brazil.....he'll be 34... We are going to build a young squad around honda and Kagawa. The new generation is very strong. I'm sure Yuki will play for Japan again.

Sad but true. Makoto Hasebe ( wolfsburg ) and Endo ( Osaka ) will start in the CM. Subs are Takuya Honda ( Shimizu ) and Hajime Hosogai ( Bayer Leverkusen ) . Zaccheroni visited Europe this month and checked all the japanese in europe. I think he knows what to do. Playing in europe doesn't mean you'll start for Japan National team. Last world cup, the coach selected only 3 guys from europe. ps: i'm belgian :-)
Wymsey Posted 25 December 2010 Posted 25 December 2010 Not bothered at all him not playing for Japan. He's been good for us despite his first season in this country and he will only improve.
