deep blue Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Yes this does annoy me i mean come on weale would never have stopped snodgrass shot no one would and i hate it when they chant fryatts name clearly he isnt going to put on a leicester shirt again he did ok for us over the last 2 seasons but if we are to move forward then when we do get to premiership he quite clearly isn't good enough so get behind the current team I agree with the general tenor of this thread, but I differ with two specific points you make. First, you can't rule out the possibility that Weale might have stopped Snodgrass's shot. It was fast and unexpected, but straight at the keeper, and only needed a sufficient reaction to push it over the bar. Second, no-one can be sure that Fryatt woudn't have been able to step up to the mark in the Prem. What you're forgetting is that we need to get there first! Pearson's team from last year came within a whisker of achieving promotion and only needed a little tinkering to be able to do it this season. Now we look unlikely to make it, in spite of the strikers brought in to solve our scoring problem. Dont forget that in last year's team Fryatt had a good goal ratio for the matches he played, much better than that achieved, or looking likely, from Bednar & Vassell.
Corky Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 I presume that was the middle of the kop, last time I was in there a fight broke out when a vocal fan started having a go at some fans for not standing for the 'Stand up if you Love Leicester' song accusing them of not being 'real' fans and not supporting the team. 5 minutes later he was leading the half time booing at 0-0 It was towards the back of SK3/4.
anotherharboroughfox Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 If they were allowed flags poles and flares, it would make all the difference to our performance and the atmosphere in the Walkers. Just trolling for boredom's sake how dare you suggest we should take flags into the ground?! they've been known to randomly catch fire!
LeicesterLuke Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 It was towards the back of SK3/4. Guess im not on my own then?

What you're forgetting is that Pearson is two managers away. The players were very bad under Sousa and hasn't convinced Sven they are as good this year as under Pearson. If Fryatt, Weale, Dyer and others are as good as some thinks they should dig in and get the job done instead of having moaners on the net defending their honours.
Fosse Boy Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Only just clocked this thread but suffice to say the OP is spot on. Really do wonder what some of these tossers get out of going to football.
ozleicester Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Excuse the little rant I'm about to go on but something annoyed me a bit yesterday. I know everyone has fan favourites which is fair enough (even if they're not our best players) but when the manager, assistant and backroom staff have put out 11 players that they think will be the best group for the particular game, why do some of our fans feel it necessary to start chanting player's name that aren't even in the squad let alone starting lineup? When Kirkland is standing in front of the Kop and we're chanting "Weale Weale" do people really think that's going to have anything other than a negative affect on his performance? Even more pointless is singing a Fryatt song after Bednar came on when he's not even on the bench (and probably leaving the club in less than a week). Fair enough have an opinion on who should be playing but I really don't see the point in damaging the players confidence who are actually on the pitch. Even if they make a terrible mistake (which neither did yesterday) then it's not going to do any good. Was anyone else annoyed by this? Im not reading this post...as i wanted this topic started by another poster
North-LondonFox Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 very good point they started Lloyd Dyer chants about 10 minutes in yesterday. I rate Gally and think he can do a job for us but he won't be confident enough with the fans backing. I've nowt against Gally but I really like Dyer. I do think the level of negative chanting is bad news but I do always join in the Lloyd Dyer shout!
Mee Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 If they were allowed flags poles and flares, it would make all the difference to our performance and the atmosphere in the Walkers. Just trolling for boredom's sake They could write the words on the flags and use the flares as a 'cue in' tool.
phillthefox Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 although i agree with some of the points made, i will also state that the amount of money i pay for season tickets and away tickets and travel, if i feel they are not performing well i will voice my opinion as my money is paying their wages, so if i wanna make my feeling clear i will do, and if that makes me a retard and moron so be it........ but i will follow the team through thick and thin and there for i am a real fan!!!!! and the first half of millwall deserved to be booed
Guest Mee-9 Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 I still think booing players off is prettish cvntish.

If Fryatt, Weale, Dyer and others are as good as some thinks they should dig in and get the job done instead of having moaners on the net defending their honours. No reason to think they can't perform as well as last season if given the opportunity, but Sousa messed them about and destroyed their confidence. 3 weeks ago Sven said that Fryatt was looking better & better in training and scoring goals for fun, and he would give him a game. He hasn't. What can a player do in such circumstances. ( Fryatt was on the bench during the Doncaster game; an ideal opportunity to send him on for the last 20 mins; it didn't happen). It's very cheap to brand as a "moaner" someone who has concerns for the way the club is heading.
Kitchandro Posted 30 December 2010 Posted 30 December 2010 I agree with this article for the most part, but frankly if a team isn't showing any effort that's a different matter. I felt the effort was lacking against Leeds and it sounded a similar story against Millwall. I would never boo a bad Leicester team, but if a team is not showing any effort I can understand people booing, because that's not on.
Kent Posted 30 December 2010 Author Posted 30 December 2010 Well it's nice to see that the view of rows A, B and C in SK4 does not represent the majority of supporters that use this forum. Im not reading this post...as i wanted this topic started by another poster What do you mean? Or is it a personal joke with someone?

What do you mean? Or is it a personal joke with someone? Twas an attempt at humour (clearly a miserable one, but an attempt nonetheless).. the concept of our crowds wanting one player, ahead of another one... i thought i would want one poster ahead of another.. you see, ummm... no... well... tell you what.. . lets just pretend this never happened?
