lcfcsnow Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Before the Leeds match Derek fazackerly commented on the fact king was still captain, saying they dont want to keep changing captains. So what changed today? Why should Oakleys inclusion change that? As if it wasn't bad enough that he was playing King is once more stripped of captaincy. I don't think he's ideal for the role but taking it away from King one game then giving it him back is going to do no good whatsoever. Sort it out.
Guest Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 May as well put the captain's band around a water bottle.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Oakley was still club captain when Kingy was captaining on the pitch.
zubi Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 May as well put the captain's band around a water bottle. too funny
Bert Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Oakley is our club captain and therefore takes the armband. If anyone moans about his inclusion today they're deluded. Our best player by far.
lestajigs Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 First time in 2 seasons then!!!!!! Get in there Oakley! Or was it coz the other 10 players were shit
Captain... Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Oakley is club captain, until that changes whether you agree with it or not, he should take the armband on the pitch. Andy King said a few weeks ago that he was just wearing the armband until Oakley came back, so he won't be upset. It will also not be a massive disappointment to King if we sign someone and give him the armband ahead of King.
Edmund Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Why is it that our selected club captains hardly ever play? Clemence was the last captain even when he no chance in hell of ever playing football again.
Captain... Posted 28 December 2010 Posted 28 December 2010 Why is it that our selected club captains hardly ever play? Clemence was the last captain even when he no chance in hell of ever playing football again. Clemence was injured, Oakley played every game possible until he was injured. Now he has been recovering, and maybe a prolonged period on the sidelines to recover, gain fitness and a bit of fight for his place has led to a much better performance today. I still prefer Abe on the pitch though.
Ross 'LCFC' Turner Posted 29 December 2010 Posted 29 December 2010 Oakley is our club captain and therefore takes the armband. If anyone moans about his inclusion today they're deluded. Our best player by far. one of the better players yesterday because of the way he got stuck in but does nothing to impact the game, never drives forward or does anything creative just passess the ball backwards and generally slows the game down, waste of space in my opinion
