Scow Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 http://www.teamtalk.com/teamtalk/News/Stor...,874135,00.html He's had to pull out of the Wales squad because of minor hamstring and foot injuries. Let's hope he's not fit for Watford......
Mark Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 I'm sure Wales will miss him :: Minor injuries isnt enough to convince me he wont play
Scow Posted 16 August 2004 Author Posted 16 August 2004 I'm sure Wales will miss him ::Minor injuries isnt enough to convince me he wont play 12108 True - He's not had any pre season and still plays. <_<
Guest Guest Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 This get's funnier by the minute. Does this mean there's a grave danger that Tommy Wright might get a place on the bench? I'll grow my own sick in my hair if Adams selects Wright, I think i'm safe to say I won't have to take up this challenge. I cannot believe we signed Blake, infact if Adams doesn't feel a twat now then he must be even thicker than I thought he was. He hasn't learnt with Jones, Howey or Morris has he? You don't sign injury prone players unless you have to, especially when you sign Wilcox, Makin, Tiatto and Keown before Blake! Haha this is great
Mark Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 I think its fair to say, if he really does have an injury he'll be a sub at the least even when he's injured! Adams loves doing that. Theres no chance he'll be dropped. If a miracle happens and he is dropped, Wright wont be on the bench anyway so thats that sorted

I know that's a stupid thing to say, but I think at times Adams is a twat and I don't think he should get away with it. Football is a ruthless game, cut throat business and change is good, let's get him out.
Guest Guest Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 Micky didn't sign Jones. 12114 No, but he should of learnt not to mess with injury prone players. Infact I think Matty Jones has got Adams hooked on it, Adams is eager for his next fix. If it was anyone other than Scowcroft who a club had put a bid in for, Adams would have been eyeing up his next transfer binge. The thing is, Adams doesn't get a massive comedown, it's the fans that suffer that for him. Arrogant ****

I've gave complained a lot about him but so far im yet to say lets get rid. But if he dont start doing things right i'll have no choice but to agree with you :w00t: The future of the club is more important than handing out 1 year contracts here and there. Some have been good and paid off, like Deane and McKinley did in the first team, but since then he's gone crazy signing whoever here and there and hoping they make us as successful as we was last time in div 1. Someone said a few days ago, Adams does all this scouting - yet we end up with Blake and Wilcox? I cant understand it, he's having a laugh with us.

This debate has been done before, and there is not a replacement out there at the moment who is better than Micky Adams IMO. He does not deserve the sack after three games. Give it 10 games, and we'll have a better indication of where we will finish in this league. I don't think there is any justification in getting rid of him. By not giving a few youngsters a chance is not a good enough reason alone to sack him, however frustrating it is. He got us promoted last time, and he has the experience in getting promotions with 2 other clubs. We have purchased alot of players over the summer, and it will take time to gel, although the early signs are not promising. If we beat Watford comfortably on Saturday, I'm sure that will kick start our season - Remember Ipswich two season ago? Hopefully the Millwall game will have the same effect.
Mark Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 Watford are shit anyway, i expect us to win that. When () we do win i aint going to be shouting from the rooftops Adams is god again thats for sure, cause our next game is against Wolves away, so just like last season we'll help kickstart their season. But hopefully it wont be as depressing as last time \ /

Muz Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 I posted about the Williams thread but msybe i was premature in doing that! But wanting the manager out after 3 matches is laughable this time the last time we were in this Divvy we had played 3 W2 L1 but dont forget we lost 6-1! But Micky got there heads up and went and beat Reading in the following match so see what happens be patient and KEEP THE FAITH!
Guest freund Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 I don't really want adams to go, but it seems like we'll be yo-yoing between the premiership and championship forever if he stays...

Absolutly laughable. I actually had respect for the 'guest' if it's the same one from earlier but not now! Scowy i think you are the only voice of reason in this place sometimes, you never go OTT like most and just say it how it really is. Keep it up chap.
bren Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 ****ing idiots some of you on this forum are......why do you want Adams sacked?? I still don't understand? Is it just because he wont play more young players, or because of the players he has brought in? If its the latter then surely you have to give the new lads more than 2 or 3 games to prove their worth? Petrescu i know this is your site, but you really are a ****, most people want LCFC to win that means getting behind the team and the manager, whereas you cant help but critisise all the bast*rd time. Adams is the best man for this job whether you like it or not, if he was to go who would you want in? Howard Wilkinson, George Graham, yeah lets all have a wa*k over that! I cant put up with the repetitive sh*t on this site anymore, i am banning myself, Scowy, you are alright and this is a cracking site, its just a shame you have got so many sh*theads posting here Ta ra

COME ON. I want you to ****ing find where i said i want him to go, dont ****ing come on here making shit up. I can critise all i like, but when you make stuff up to back up your stupid little point then thats just pathetic. So you can reply to this before you piss off. Where did i say i want Adams out? ............................................ ??
Mad Dog Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 Ignore them bren. They are (mostly) morons. Dublin, Connolly, Blake, Benjamin, Morris and Scowcroft will all have to be out of action for Wright to get a game, so no worries

bren Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 The number of times you have slagged him, called for his head, not just this topic but others as well is loads, don't deny it ffs. I'm sure others on here would be able to back me up on that too
Mark Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 So you are basing it on the past? Because i havent said he should go for 10 months at the least (Middlesbrough game) Excellent response.
Fox 4 Life Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 back to the original post - Blake is not injured - the reason he isnt plying 4 wales is he has SLIGHT knocks and doesnt want to risk jeapordising his city career for wales, basically knows he only has 1 more game 2 prove himself before dublins back!
