Scow Posted 16 August 2004 Author Posted 16 August 2004 He is not injured enough to miss any games - guranteed he will start on sat unfortunately 12147 You don't know that though - He has knocks in both his foot and hamstring - That could prevent him from playing.
dhermon Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 from the wording on lcfc.com it sounds as if he was told not to play for the sake of getting right for watford
alex Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 This get's funnier by the minute. Does this mean there's a grave danger that Tommy Wright might get a place on the bench? I'll grow my own sick in my hair if Adams selects Wright, I think i'm safe to say I won't have to take up this challenge.I cannot believe we signed Blake, infact if Adams doesn't feel a twat now then he must be even thicker than I thought he was. He hasn't learnt with Jones, Howey or Morris has he? You don't sign injury prone players unless you have to, especially when you sign Wilcox, Makin, Tiatto and Keown before Blake! Haha this is great 12111 Well, Adams didn't buy Jones, Taylor did, and Makin, Tiatto and Keown will all be good signings IMO.
alex Posted 16 August 2004 Posted 16 August 2004 The number of times you have slagged him, called for his head, not just this topic but others as well is loads, don't deny it ffs.I'm sure others on here would be able to back me up on that too 12138 Agree whole heartedly, there are some ignorant twats on this forum, who will learn when Sturrock gets sacked at Southampton and they pinch Adams and it's another five years of re-building, as many of us have seen before, many but clearly, not all.
Guest Guest Posted 17 August 2004 Posted 17 August 2004 I think its fair to say, if he really does have an injury he'll be a sub at the least even when he's injured! Adams loves doing that. Theres no chance he'll be dropped. If a miracle happens and he is dropped, Wright wont be on the bench anyway so thats that sorted    12112 To be quite honest I am up for Adams getting the sack. I know that's a stupid thing to say, but I think at times Adams is a twat and I don't think he should get away with it. Football is a ruthless game, cut throat business and change is good, let's get him out. 12113 ha ha... so he doesnt play under 20's, buys a few 30+ players and we call for his head after three games. Absolutly laughable. I actually had respect for the 'guest' if it's the same one from earlier but not now! Scowy i think you are the only voice of reason in this place sometimes, you never go OTT like most and just say it how it really is. Keep it up chap. 12129 I was half joking to be honest, but I wouldn't be that arsed if he left. The reason why I wouldn't be that arsed is because other than the promotion season he hasn't done that much for us. Granted it what a near impossible task to keep us up last season, but that could be debatable. We ****ed up so many times last season and to just say we weren't good enough is abit naive, it was his job to sort things out and he couldn't. Along with the fact that alot of our players were then pinched by premiership teams, shows we had a team that was capabale of staying up. This season he has no excuses, this is his own team and nothing other than promotion will be acceptable to make up for the perfect chance we had last season. Whether we had stayed up or got relegated, the team needed re-building and some of his signing this summer have been excellent on paper. Hopefully they can produce the goods on the pitch. Williams, Gudjonsson, Connolly, Tiatto and Keown are all players that would have strengthened our squad last season whatever league we were in, you could probably add Dublin to that list. I am happy to give Micky Adams a chance, but I feel he hasn't learned from his mistakes last season. He needs to take more risks, because what he deems to be not taking gambles is actually just as much a risk as it is to actually try different formations, style of play, younger players, etc. I will give him until christmas and if he's not got our team playing well then I think he should leave, the jury is out on Adams in my opinion. His short term fixes are not doing us any good, neither is his arrogance.

His short term fixes are not doing us any good, neither is his arrogance. 12361 Short term fixes? What are they? Yes Adams made a couple of mistakes last year, but he is a young bright manager who i believe will be a legend of LCFC. He made a couple of really bad signings last year i.e Curtis, Howey, but he saw what they were like and at least had the nerve to get rid of them. Also i know its a shite excuse now and its been used time and time again, but La Manga must have had a massive impact on him, 3 of his players in jail, trying to boost the morale during and after that must have been hell. Just remember Adams has always been a lower division manager, that was his first time in the top league and he will have learnt and next time it will be a smoother ride i am sure of that. We are only 3 matches into the season, we have a lot of new players that haven't played together before, lets give Adams and ALL the players a chance.
Guest Guest Posted 17 August 2004 Posted 17 August 2004 other than the promotion season he hasn't done that much for us What an incredibly stupid comment Other than steering us to promotion when the club when bust, when we had sold players in the previous summer to pay off debtors, when the league wouldn't let us sign anyone at all to boost the squad. Other than that......... You ignorant, ungrateful fool

You've just bored me what I already am aware of and grateful of. Adams did very well in the season we got promoted, but since then he's not done too good in my opinion. Last season was a distaster, we made so many mistakes over and over again. We also had a squad that was capable of keeping us up, that's why most of them have been bought by premiership teams this summer. Learn to read

Learn to read 12379 It wasn't a diaster at all last season. We'd have been the only club ever to stay up without spending any transfer fees if, for example, Charlton hadn't got two late penalties in the two games which shouldn't have been allowed (and in both cases afterwards the ref admitted so). If Spurs hadn't scored two last minute goals against us in both their games, for example. That kind of shit isn't down to Adams, it's just plain bad luck.

That's just damn right unprofessional and laughable. It was Adams job to take the necessary action to make sure this didn't happen again, whether that was fining the players or building their confidence up. Whatever was needed to be done, wasn't done and before anyone says it's all 'if's and 'buts' it might well be, but the fact of the matter is we would of stayed up if Adams had been responsible for his actions, his tactics and substitutions at times were crap. Effectively it's the players who threw these points away, but the harsh reality is that Micky Adams is the manager and he's paid to make sure his players perform. If they don't, then it becomes a problem and someone gets the can.

Bluefoxtim Posted 17 August 2004 Posted 17 August 2004 WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT??? MOAN MOAN MOAN!!! we have played three games and you are calling for Adams' head! Two years ago we got written off but got automatic promotion, last season everyone expected us to be pratically relegated from day 1 but we made a big fight of it right up until the last couple of games. And remember Micky had no money then and not much more now every other team are splashing the cash. You say that Adams is buying crap well he has to take a chance on players, dont you see??? You call yourselves true supporters? pah The club dont need people like you
Guest Daniel Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 You call yourselves true supporters? pahThe club dont need people like you This forum dont need people like you, you twat. The club dont need people who have been season ticket holders for 10 years, go home and away, buy everything they try to flog me, go to friendlys, go abroad when we get there. Tosspot, you talk shit.
Cobbo Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 Weren't you complaining about being called names yesterday BM? I don't think it's up to you who should and shouldn't post on this forum...
Guest Daniel Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 I dont think its up to him who the club needs and who the club dont need. So why the hell do you jump in to have a go at me at every chance you get?
Cobbo Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 I dont think its up to him who the club needs and who the club dont need.So why the hell do you jump in to have a go at me at every chance you get? 12715 erm, I don't jump in to have a go at you often at all...just calling someone a twat is a bit out of order as basically he was supporting MA. Anyway, let's hope that Blake stays unfit for Saturday anyway. Get big Trev on there.

We've given you so many chances to sort yourself out, and it's simply not working. You're letting yourself and this forum down, and it can't continue. It's all well apologising, but you're likely to do this again, and I'm not sure we can risk it. You're giving this forum a bad reputation by resulting to abuse when you can't construct an argument sensibly, it just illustrates a lack of intelligence. We want to attract new members, not put them off when they see this mindless, unwarranted abuse. I don't know why you do this for - Do you want to be banned permanently?
Guest Daniel Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 Im sorry but him making that comment is out of order and most people off this forum i speak to on msn said what he said was wrong and they would of reacted in the same way. Saying the club dont need people like me is just as bad as calling somebody a twat. I got told to **** off and eat shit on other post, where is the warning for him and his bollocking?
Mark Posted 18 August 2004 Posted 18 August 2004 Want to point me in the direction of that then? You're on your final warning by the way, 90%, its nothing personal i'm trying to run a decent forum and abuse every day dont help!
