THFC6061 Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 I've recently finished compiling a table of Leicester City's Premier League player's squad numbers from 1994-95 to 2003-04. The table includes every season in which Leicester participated in the Premier League. There's far too much information to allow me to post it on here but you'll be able to see the table if you click the links below... Leicester City Premier League Squad Numbers ...I'm sure there might be some corrections which need to be made, so please tell me if you see any. Perhaps you might like to list your favorite Foxes player for each shirt number? Enjoy!
Topman Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Great list, bit depressing when u see the decline, from Steve walsh to Craig hignett, Neil lennon to Matt Jones, Emile Heskey to Steve Guppy then to er Dennis Wise then Jordon Stewart and Pontus Kaamark to Damian Delaney and Alan Roger, hope with the new owners, we get some bigger names
Ross-Kemp Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Andy Impey and Alan Rogers. No wonder we were relegated
Far Post Gerry Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Don't knock Andy Impey! The only man who could beat his man three times and end up back where he started. Loved watching him.
Cheese Me Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Lars Gunnar-Carlstrand Was he the German who played half a game, looked amazing then got injured and disappeared for ever. Might have been on loan I think.
Fox1651 Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Neil Lennon was amazing, bossed games in midfield during our Oneill years of winning cups and being in the top ten of the premier league year in year out!!!
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 18 January 2011 Posted 18 January 2011 Yeah Lenny was fantastic but also Muzzy, Taggs, Walshy, Matt Elliott, Emile Heskey and Tim Flowers were all very good too
THFC6061 Posted 18 January 2011 Author Posted 18 January 2011 Just reading those names fills me with joy! I always used to enjoy Tottenham's matches with Leicester City. You're one of three different teams Spurs have beaten in two different major Cup Finals (Wolves and Chelsea being the other two). If you'd like another stroll down Memory Lane, here are all of the matches between the two clubs from 1914 to 2006.. Spurs v Leicester City
THFC6061 Posted 20 January 2011 Author Posted 20 January 2011 I love stuff like this, excellent work! My pleasure - I'm glad you found it interesting.
Ashley Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Great work, bet it took you a long time to find all that information.
One Arm Babba Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Darren Eadie could have gone on to be a great no. 9 for us. Such a shame his career was fecked by injury.
funkyrobot Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 They should have retired the number 26 shirt. Carlstrand followed by Marshall followed by junior 'f'kin' Lewis. It simply doesn't get better than those three. The holy trinity. Let's retire number 26 in their collective honour.
dobbylcfc Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Number 20 tricky Trevor Benjamin fair dues he was sh*t but he tried hard bless him Wish we still had the likes of Lenny muzzy tags and walshie. Good times :-) cheers for the trip down memory lane mate
savedave Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Andy Impey and Alan Rogers. No wonder we were relegated If my memory serves me well, wasn't it Andy Impey who provided the cross for THE Muzzy overhead goal against Grimsby? For that alone he's a ledge.
NorthernFox Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Number 20 tricky Trevor Benjamin fair dues he was sh*t but he tried hard bless him Wish we still had the likes of Lenny muzzy tags and walshie. Good times :-) cheers for the trip down memory lane mate Big Trev is currently player/manager at Morpeth Town. My mate (on Durham FA) just attended a pre-disciplinary hearing between him and a young goalie from Darlington who had a bit too much to say about Trevors colour.
funkyrobot Posted 20 January 2011 Posted 20 January 2011 Tricky Trevor controlled it further than junior Lewis could pass it.
dobbylcfc Posted 21 January 2011 Posted 21 January 2011 Tricky Trevor controlled it further than junior Lewis could pass it. Only if they put a bell in the ball so he could hear it
