volpeazzurro Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 Sod the ONE tackle, the rest of his performance was woeful! The only reason for him not being taken off at half time could have been that Sven didn't want to totally destroy his confidence for the future. He gets knocked off the ball too easily to be a centre half. Tunchev's not very big but knows how to use what weight he has for example. At best for me, he's a squad left back. This may sound very harsh against a young lad making his debut, but I can't recall a poorer one for Leicester. We've already got a much better player in Hobbs who just needs a run of games to restore his confidence after the Sousa debacle. If Hobbs definetely isn't Sven's cup of tea, then Mee certanly isn't the answer, he could have cost us three points today. Cheers.

Fox1651 Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 yeah but no but yeah but no but . . . . . yeah youve got a point, although you would hope thats not possible (Junior Lewis aside)
5waller5 Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 I thought it was a fantastic challenge ..... someone criticised his pace earlier in the thread - they clearly didn't see him making up the ground to get that challenge in - he's quick! Why the over-reaction about his performance though??? Wasn't the best debut - was a difficult ten minutes, and he gave away ONE penalty - the other was never one. He was shaky at times and he gave the ball away a couple of times .... but that's about it - he looked strong in the air for someone that lacks a bit of height .... his composure and presence grew as the game progressed and he looks a decent prospect. Alan Young has alot to answer for - seems his opinion is trotted out very readily and then amplified..
hotdogfox Posted 23 January 2011 Posted 23 January 2011 This thread shows the ineptness of most fans view of footballers, young kid making 1st senior appearance against Millwall with pressures of expectation and to follow it up give an early penalty away, showed good mental strength to carry on and will definitely improve with games. Some of you expect far too much far too soon, give the lad a chance for crying out loud !! Mcgivern - good by the standards he set later in the season but very shoddy indeed. Kirkland. there have been several worse than mee's.
