Fox-Ranger Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 Where do we all go for a match day refreshment? I used to use The Brauny, The Hunty or The Turnstyle. All classy joints i'm sure you'll agree but at least they had a bit of atmosphere.
OmnipresentSam Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 I like the Local Hero, it's about a 10 minute walk so ideal for me.
Shipman Out Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 I used to go to the Quay but that is now a f**cking Tesco Metro!!! Old favs were the swan, the peel then the turnstile for 3 double vodkas Now go down Narborough Road
Rich Fox Posted 28 January 2011 Posted 28 January 2011 The Western because of the real ale and chilled out atmosphere.

Sk4 Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 The Freemans used to be the best ( now closed down unfortunately ) but I guess it's the Local Hero or the Counting House are perhaps the best for footie days now
1964FOX Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Counting House, good banter and a bit of singing with the away fans.
skegness fox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 i used to use the nags head years ago is it still there? it used to get really busy on match day then down to the turnstile. nowadays i get off the train to the plantagenat then usually the peel.

rico Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Dos Amanos on Queens Rd,not really a football pub though
phillthefox Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 Back in the day turnstyle used to be buzzin on matchday. now its counting house or local hero, or for real close try the holiday inn next to ground, anything better than the gash in the ground or what we like to do is get in town full english and few beer then work way to ground stopping in a few on the way oi oi pissheads
walkerlcfc91 Posted 29 January 2011 Posted 29 January 2011 When I get there i'd usually go to The Donkey and New Road Inn, but apparently New Road has gone rapidly down hill so not too sure now -as I haven't been to a home game this season!
ta-fc Posted 30 January 2011 Posted 30 January 2011 High cross, squares, polar bear, swan or peel, turny then spend most of the first half needing a p1ss!
