iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Due to being over 18 and in full time employment, the price of a Season ticket will increase alot next year for me I believe, so I probably won't be renewing. Just pick out away games and the odd home game instead. Forward thinking, what do you class as the best away days, in terms of location, pubs, travel, atmosphere etc. I've made a fair few grounds in the Championship well about half. Forest & Derby are certs. I think Bristol City & Barnsley are a good day out. Just thought I'd try find out what are the most popular with the majority, perhaps top 5 ? (Im bored on a sunday!)
ScouseFox Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 United, Liverpool, Everton, Man City and Stoke will probably be my top five for next season
Fosse Boy Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Any away day is what you make of it. The company, the city you're visiting, the ground and the game itself all determine whether you'll enjoy it or not. It's up to you.
Joeb.lcfc Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 United, Liverpool, Everton, Man City and Stoke will probably be my top five for next season Dont Fancy a trip down to london then? half away games be down there
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 13 February 2011 Author Posted 13 February 2011 Sheffield games are always decent. Went United on the tuesday last year, was decent. Wednesday was abit boring.
North-LondonFox Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 QPR is good - proper old ground - can't wait for the game v them this year - i'd give anything for a an away win there!
phillthefox Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 in the championship derby forest leeds cov cardiff prem: birmingham spurs man city liverpool villa all these are good days out and great atmosphere in stadiums
Maybes Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 London away days. Sheffields awayers. Manchester stop-over awayers.

Best 3 trips for this season in my opinion have been Pompey (1-6) Ipswich (0-3) and Preston (1-1). The grounds where you'll get the best turnout, good facesand noise however is always going to be the London games, the derby games (Sheep and Trees) + Barnsley, Sheff U and Scunny

Fosse Boy Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Ipswich away was a good laugh. Sometimes the games where results don't go your way are the best ones. Sheff Yoo 3-0 in the relegation season is probably the best example of that for me. Everyone up and singing in spite of what the utter wank who used to wear our shirt for a living were doing on the pitch.
Bert Posted 13 February 2011 Posted 13 February 2011 Amen. Those 3 were top. Why did ya bother coming!

'Olly show us your shoes, Olly Olly show us your shoes.' Ha ha and he did. Why did ya bother coming! Stupid old bag. Banterless she was.
Tommeh Posted 14 February 2011 Posted 14 February 2011 Amen. Those 3 were top. Helped that they included stop overs, females, vast amounts of alcohol and £120+ odd dropped on each. QPR and Boro will be insanely big.

I'm planning an appearance at Boro. Don't think I can make it to QPR, which is annoying given that it's probably my closest Championship club
